Turn 13 and Rolo...

You guys can contribute to this after you've watched Turn 13, but now I just want to let this all go from my chest.

So Cornelia just got herself into trouble with V.V. I wonder what's going to happen to her.

But that's no big deal.

I now fear Rolo's existence. I knew I wanted Shirley to die (sorry Shirley fans!) but I damn well never wanted Rolo to be the one who killed her!

We know Lelouch said at the beginning that he wanted to use Rolo and then discard him like trash. I was hoping that he'd change as time goes by, that he won't do that to Rolo.

But now that Rolo killed Shirley... I don't know what's going to happen after this. It's like Suzaku and Lulu and Euphy all over again.

And I was looking forward to Rolo joining Lulu in the final stage with Vincent to. Think he still have the chance?

Or is this the cue telling us that Sunrise is going to kill off Rolo too in the end?

*sigh*

Don't you think it's just so heartbreaking when Lulu tried to order Shirley "DON'T DIE!!" repeatedly? T_T

And Jeremiah is so LOVE in this episode :)

I havent cried over a fictional character's death in years but Lelouch's desperation and Shirley's sweetness made me cry.

Dammit,she was so cute with her "I like Lulu but he cant know" and how normal she was compared to the other people in his life.

I thought Lelouch would try the "DONT DIE" on her but I knew it wouldnt work since she wasnt capable of living. Dammit, Rolo all my love for you is gone. ALL OF IT.

1st, all the ORENJIKUN action was amazing. lsfhasjg I need subs. 2nd, I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive Rolo, and Lelouch, I'm sure he'll feel the same, and 3rd, yes, Lelouch ordering her not to die WAS heartbreaking.

I am so disappointed in Rolo. Ya know, I liked him a lot, but wtf now he just seems like a selfish little kid. WANABE SHOTA ):

I knew Shirley was going to die, but I didn't expect Rolo to kill her. (people were seriously HAPPY when she died? It's ok to dislike a character but seriously going 'yay, I wanted her to die' is just... well, it's weird).

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of Ninja!Sayako and Orange-kun next ep. Lelouch manages to bring so many people onto his side.

Are we so sure that Rolo did it though? The scene implied such, but we never see him actually shoot or stab her. And if Rolo were responsible, why does Lelouch go after the Geass cult for revenge? Rolo at this point is acting independently of the cult.

Poor Shirley. Why does it always have to be the nice, normal ones who die?

Orange-kun's switching sides seemed a little too abrupt. Regardless of what he might have felt about Marianne, it's hard to believe he holds no hard feelings for having been disgraced and turned into a crazy cyborg because of Zero.

The same could be said for Shirley's forgiveness of Lelou. The masks were a nice touch, but she sort of goes from being afraid to coming to terms awfully quick. Shame they couldn't have given her another episode or so to hammer it out. They dawdled with her through most of R1, then, as soon as she gets her memories back, she gets one episode to cope, and than die for the plot. Though I suppose it's the near fall that did it. So it remains believable. I'll have to force myself to rewatch.

I know what you mean on him having been disgraced, but as he pointed out, Marianne's death on his watch was one of his biggest regrets. While Lelou did disgrace him, it was in her defence, so it makes sense that he'd forgive him for it. After all, Lelou's basically doing what he would want to himself. If it had been for power, it probably wouldn't have gone over so well. The real question is whether his mind and actions are completely his own... His intentions may be pure, but does he fully control them.

She was definitely shot. The Suzaku theory doesn't mesh with his character. Why would he have her bleed to death if it were an accident. He rushed Euphy from the field the second she was shot. it fits Rolo's persona much better. I think they didn't show it so as to not interrupt the Orange scene, and so that we would learn of it the same as Lelouch. it works better dramatically that way. Would you be able to focus on the Gottwald scene as well if it were preceeded by a scene showing Shirley being shot. It also allows for those not able to read things well to wonder what Rolo's about to do.

If Rolo didn't do it, Sunrise sure went through a lot of trouble to frame him. The locket shot and Geass flareup all but confirms it.

OMG I KNOW RIGHT!? I've only watched the raw so far, but my jaw dropped when I saw Rollo kill Shirley!! D: Lulu is going to MURDER him if he finds out!! I don't want Rollo to die!!

I'm almost positive Rollo won't see the end of the season, and he was so cute at the beginning of this episode ;_; WHY ROLLO!? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE A CRAZY KNIFE SHANKING LITTLE BOY!? WHY!? D:

One thing I noticed though, for those of you going crazy about Rolo killing Shirley--

1. We didn't actually SEE Rolo kill Shirley on screen. Leaving room for speculation.

2. The wound looks ROUNDISH to me, like a bullet hole instead of a knife wound.

Who carries a knife? Rolo.
Who carried a gun? Shirley. And possibly some other guy who walked in on the scene/wanted to shoot Rolo but missed or something.

Though it was implied that Rolo did it, (and I kinda like this version) knowing Geass and its penchant for twistiness, I'm going to bet that MAYBE it wasn't all it was implied to be.

After all, we didn't see Suzaku after he went in. What if *gasp!* he tried to shoot Rolo or something when he saw Rolo about to knife up Shirley, and accidentally hit her?

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME AND EPIC in my opinion, cuz it would make Suzaku go all crazy all over again. :D And it would be the whole Euphie thing in reverse. Awesome.

The problem is that it would have been no trouble for Rolo to just grab the gun from Shirley. Not to mention, I think the gun was gone when Lelouch arrived on the scene (someone clarify this?). Things aren't looking good for Rolo, to tell the truth. I mean, we'll see.

I really want this to be the case. *sob* I'm just hoping there is a reason why we didn't actually see the murder happen and it wasn't just a "yeah fill in the blanks. Fill in the blank, and DESPAIR."

Gotta say, this episode made me like all the showcased characters a lot more. Shirley for her complete opposite reaction to Lelouch that she had in season 1. I'm amazed she had that much strength to want to protect Lulu after the wreckage he's caused in her life. ♥

Lelouch for the scene with Shirley and Suzaku, and the attempts to Geass her to keep her alive. Only the second time he's used the Geass benevolently in the series. What happened with Euphemia hit him hard, but Shirley's going to be worse. And, zomg, Rolo is deader than dead when he finds out.

Suzaku for the scene with Shirley and Lelouch, and then the conversation he has with Shirley where he didn't say he hated Lelouch, just couldn't forgive him. Hee. The boy's learned to parse.

And Rolo, oh, Rolo. ♥ You jealous, obsessive little thing. Killing Shirley to preserve your (and Lelouch's) cover would have been status quo if, you know, she wasn't your fake brother's girlfriend. I like you so much more now that you've completely screwed yourself over. Good luck, kiddo...

Also, how awesome was Cornelia?! And Viletta? Hooray for strong women! And Sayoko went from robot to ninja in just one episode. I want to know what her deal is. XD

Last month's poster in the Code Geass calendar was of the Ashford group, and is currently hanging across from my bed. I keep looking up and see Shirley and get sad. ;_; Dammit, I knew she was going to die, but it still hurt!

Still love Rolo though. (Though I was hoping his relationship with Lulu wouldn't screw up too much.)

I had a feeling Shirley was going to die but not by Rollo's hand. It was sad especially when Lelouch was trying to geass her into not dieing. Poor Lelouch he lost Euphie and now Shirley. Rollo is going to pay with his life when Lelouch finds out.

Orange was great this episode. He was not a bad guy after all. It explains why he let Viletta return to the hideout.

Ninja Sayoko was awesome but even more awesome was Cornelia especially when she threw a knife straight at V.V. head. He didn't even see it coming.

Also, the ending illustrations where beautiful.

About Shirley, to be totally honest...I was chuckling :D

Sure, it was heartbreaking to hear Lulu screaming so much all distraught and whatnot, but I'm rather glad she's gone. She totally stepped on land mine when she mentioned Nunnally to Rolo! He's so possessive >:D

I just keep liking Rolo more and more :) Although now I fear for his life...By killing Shirley, he basically signed his death certificate D=

Jeremiah was one of the best things about that episode♥ Especially when he called Lelouch "Your Majesty" x]

Ooh, and that scene with Cornelia and V.V was utterly awesome! ^o^

I'm glad she got to tell Lelouch how she felt. I think this was the appropriate time to tell him. Albeit while dying in her own pool of blood, she told Lelouch how she truly felt and I found it sweet that she forgave him regardless of his sins, and even through lies and countless times of Geass, she still loves Lelouch for who he is. I truly believe that Lelouch and Shirley would have been really sweet together, as I feel she was his rock and probably the only true person to always have his back and never betray him and someone who wasn't tainted by the sins of Britannia.

I know that people hate speculating relationships with Lelouch, not only would this relationship might have saved Lelouch but it might also have made his downfall now that he's heading straight into his own demise.

I really loved this episode. ♥ I'm a big fan of Shirley. However I'm not appalled at her death, but saw it as a standing point to move the plot more. Because Lelouch loses so many of those who are close to him BY this war and Britannia (ie Suzaku, Euphie, Nunnally and now Shirley), its no wonder the boy has gone batshit crazy.

I just hope Lelouch suceeds in making at least some sort of peace regardless if he dies or not.

Hmm. I think Lulu's going to assume Rolo killed her--but then Sunrise makes this TWEEEEEST and just when Rolo's dying (because Lulu killed him in a fit of angsty rage) Lulu'll realise it WASN'T ROLO WHO KILLED SHIRLEY but someone else.

Because it would've been much simpler if they showed Rolo shooting her and there'd be no loopholes, guys. But Sunrise didn't, so here we are all speculating.
