Okay, there's numerous discussions on turn 14 and I just want to add my 2 cents and focus on one of my favourite characters: Rolo

Is it me was the episode horribly rushed? I predict that R2 is the season which would end Code Geass and it wont be a pretty ending.

I was surprised that Rolo admitted it so clearly that he killed Shirley (let's ignore Lelouch's creepy smile*I will kill you*smile) but taking a moment to remember that Rolo grew up as an assassin and still is. So, say you grew up killing cockroaches when you see them, unnecessary and disgusting but you would still do it. Initially you feel disgust at killing them but sooner or later it's just a matter of seeing one and *whack!*. Not to say you actively hunt for cockroaches to kill but if one craws into your precious cookie jar and threatens to contaminate the whole batch wouldn't you kill it immediately?.....okay that was a horrible analogy but that's how I see the realtionship between Rolo, Lelouch (precious one) and Shirley (and all the others he killed in the past who threatens him or his organization).

Rolo places Lelouch above everything (talk about 180 degrees fith dimension diagonally from the first few episodes) so it's only his -so ingrained it's- natural reaction to anything remotely threatening to Lelouch and his ideals. Plus Rolo and Shirley was never close so he felt no remorse at killing her......Although, it shows later with the Geass kids who obviously knows Rolo ("Rolo-niisan") and they seem to look up to him and he seems fond of them in return but that is not enough compared to his 'love/adoration/obsession' for his niisan.

I felt a physical tug of pain at the though of one-sided love obsession from Rolo and Lelouch's intent to sacrifice him. Even without Shirley's death Lelouch had already placed him on deathroll for the fact that he impersonated his beloved Nunally. Add in the factor that V.V mentioned Rolo's Geass gives him heart-attack consequences everytime he use it heads towards the shithole for the character that is Rolo. *sigh folornly*

Yup...*adds one to the death count of "Code Geass characters to die"*

===============================
-I think I fell in lust with Conelia's new hair style, in like with the thought of her and Lelouch against V.V and fell in soul-deep-kneeling-and-grovelling LOVE with her unknowningly saving Rolo!!!

-I noticed he kept some of his 'soldier's' out of battle because I think they would be the one most vocal and questioning at his massacre.

-my heart skipped a beat at the sight of vunerable V.V towards the end

-I dont know about suzaku but lelouch went down on my like metre...

Thus ends my useless ranting

These people were experimenting on the children as well, either abducting or using their own (there were alot of women researchers there, i dont know if they showed alot of them hoping people would make this link)
I know rolo was an orphan but i doubt they all were.
They were also training these kids to be killers.
Lelouch couldn't have left them running around couldn't have locked them up, he didnt have much of a choice.

Children are just that - children. They have no grasp of Right and Wrong.

Slaughtering Innocent children with this lame excuse does not justify it in any way of the word.

So regardless of your viewpoint, the actions the Black Knights took here of pure slaughter is just that of the SS.

And it isn't even the fact that Lelouch killed them all because it would make the world a safer place, far from it. He killed them all because he was all pissy that Shirley died over his own stupidity. That is why it is a TOTALLY evil act, it isn't for the good of the world, but for his own lust for revenge and blood.

Experimenting on and abducting children isnt a lame excuse, i understand where your coming from though.
One way or the other the cult would have to have been destroyed though.

No, I agree. It's a harsh thing to order, but the way Lelouch went at it just really struck a chord with me.

He blames Geass as a general thing for Euphemia too, hell he probably blames V.V. for the Suzaku Vs. Lelouch stand-off at the end of Season 1 and definatly is pissed at him for stealing nunnally. Lelouch's mind couldnt take it anymore and just went "screw it ill just kill them all now" i guess lol
