Since Turn 15 has revealed quite a lot about CC's past and what the symbol in her forehead was, I recalled the burn mark that's slightly below her left breast shown in a flashback in episode 11 of season 1.
Now I don't really think we can theorize on what it exactly is, at this point, given the lack of information - but what intrigued me is, exactly when could CC have gotten this mark? The possibility of it being after she got her Code is really low - because throughout the series, she had suffered multiple wounds of varying degrees of severeness - yet none of them left a scar like the burn mark did(I assume it was a burn mark based on its charred looks). And yet it wouldn't be before she got her Code either, because even if she did suffer through slavery, and it would be possible for her master to 'mark' her by burning a symbol onto her, it would be weird for it to have such striking similarities to the Geass symbol.(Unless she was a slave for the Geass cult or something - but we don't really know if it exsisted back in her time) And assuming that the similarities were merely coicidential - we don't get to see her burn mark when she recieved the Code and got all bloody in Turn 15, and neither do we see it in the matching ED1 picture.(And in both cases, her hand wasn't in the way)
So....any thoughts? Or am I thinking too deeply about this?

Now that we know that that was when she was forced to kill the nun I assume it was something that happened during that. Now, we don't know for sure what happened during that...but why would C.C. be bleeding so much too? I doubt the nun would attack her to the point where she was on the verge of death if she wanted her to kill her. It is possible those wounds were from C.C. resisting and accidentely inflicted upon herself...but as we don't know what happened at that time, other then the results, there's no way to know for sure yet.
For all we know, Charles has one on his chest too from V.V. ^_^
Oh, and I always thought of it as a scar from a cut of some kind. It has a charred look, but scars usually do in anime :-D
...but that's just me

The thing on her chest is completely separate ^_^

Why not? It sounds like a good plan to me. The nun needs C.C. to to kill her, but C.C. is reluctant. The nun attacks with deadly force so C.C. will have no choice but to respond with deadly force to defend herself. If it works, then the nun gets what she wanted -- death. If she screws up and C.C. dies first, then the only consequence is that the nun has to live at least a few more decades until she can get another geass user to fulfill the contract. She's no worse off than before.

Man, I just don't know anything anymore.

But.. this is probably, an impossible thing.....
Well.. This mark reminds me of OotBk symbol. =)
Hmm.. I wonder, what can happen, if C.C. contakts Orenji-kun with his anti-geass powers. =)

It appears to me that in the back storie, when the nun lady made C.C. invincible that is when it happened becasue the next shot is of her naked, bloody, and with the scar in front of the alter and with the nun dead.
Perhaps the nun took her heart? when I first saw the scar I thought something happened to her heart because of where it was located. and then her Geass was to make people love her. *shrug*
it doesn't appear that she has the scar anymore after she looses her memory, the mark and imortality?

There's probably a plot hole in there somewhere, since there's so many contradicting pieces there, but they may never answer that one.

I've been thinking about the title as well - it could be something along the lines of CODE + GEASS = Lelouch of the Rebellion. Whatever the Emperor did to mess with CC, he didn't get to finish it. And well, I kind of see something important in the scene when Lelouch grabs CC's hand when she was falling. Charles most likely didn't get her Code, and CC doesn't have it anymore, so obviously it went to someone. So maybe, Charles' meddling with CC had caused Lelouch to somehow become an immortal that has his Geass.

By the way, maybe I just forgot, but have we already learnt it's automatic that the one who receives the Code loses the Geass? Because otherwise, perhaps the burn mark CC has could be related to her being "ripped off" the Geass (but that's just a random thought...)

No, we don't - the show never even tells us when immortals lose their Geass. It's just immediately assumed that immortals lose it at some point because CC said she couldn't. Maybe they lose it the moment they recieve the Code, or maybe they lose it after something happened, and if that's the case, maybe they're not considered 'full immortals' until then and CC could have gotten her burn mark at that period...still, this is all speculation.

She's not Shitzu-sama!

CC and the Nun did a "Viva El Tango" like in Turn 15 with charles, and this transferred the code unto CC. The scar could have been an after-effect if transferring her code into her body (or it IS her code seeing as the one on her forehead comes and goes and the code is like permanent *cough*charles*cough*).

And then Charles killed V.V and the mark transferred to his hand? To remove the immortality, the one with Geass would have to kill the one bestowing then Geass and it would get transferred to him.
But in this case, C.C didn't die, only she lost her immortality and her memories. I assume she wanted to pass on her immortality to Charles, but bailed at the last minute. Since the mark and immortality is gone, maybe the transfer was a success? Just she didn't die?
LOL I don't know what I'm rambling anymore. Sorry XD

Dang, that would be such an epic battle. Saber!C.C. vs. Joan, and consequently cursing each other into witches and getting burnt at the stake.

I KNEW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO SAW THAT.
