Any of the cast is up to die at any moment. This is how Sunrise works. I read the Korean Blog Spoilers and knew he was going to die, but that doesn't make it any less upsetting for me. And yes, I would still be upset if he were some big dude with a beard or something because of the manner of his death, not simply because of what he looks like. I like Rolo as a character partially because of his appearance but more for his personality/background, and thus am upset about his death because of how it occured, not just because he happens to also be eyecandy.
No, Rolo never showed remorse, and I'm willing to believe it's because he didn't know how. Nothing excuses killing people, but given Rolo's upbringing and background, the blame cannot be placed entirely on him. I never said he was entirely blameless, just that he cannot be blamed completely.
The environment one is brought up in, the conditions for the crime, and the motive behind killing make a difference in how a person is tried or convicted in murders all the time.
