Looks like GG is no longer subbing Geass :( Shame, I thought they were the best out of the subbing groups...

EDIT: Although this is on the GG main page, people are saying this could be some kind of joke? Apparently anonymous made a fake Photoshop of their news page, and posted it on 4chan. I guess someone from GG thought it funny enough to make into an actual news post.

I don't watch subs, but if they're going to bag on the fans of a fairly popular series, said fans aren't likely to download their other work.

They can hate geass all they like, that's an okay reason to drop something, but this communtiy is well behaved, the mods are great, and I don't see all the cliquey rubbish like in some coms (Looking at you fm_alchemist)

I don't know what other geass fans are like on the internets, but we're all good here right?

I've only seen one Eclipse episode (downloaded it just to try them out), but they it was a pretty decent job and there was nothing radically different from the [gg] translations. I think you'll be okay with them. Not much choice anyway.

Does anyone else here remember the old [gg]? Back before Eliza dropped off the face of the internet and they shut down for a couple of months? Back when they were still friendly and encouraged fandom participation and did fun stuff like Seto no Hanayome (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7460) that was unheard of and unlikely to draw a huge fanbase but was totally awesome anyway? Remember back when they had that Orenji-kun themed front page, with the poem about how Orenji-kun really loved oranges but also wanted to hold Viletta's boobs? Back when they were the only worthwhile group doing even close to half-decent subs of Code Geass? Back when they all still thought it was the shizznit? (Not that I'm disagreeing about how Code Geass isn't what it used to be - I dare any of you here to tell me that R2 is even half as awesome as R1 was - but seriously, there's no need to hate. It's still fun.) Back before they all became trollfags totally enamored of the suffix "fag" because it was part of their identity?

According to a friend of mine that frequents /a/ this is yet another unfunny joke put up by a subbing group that thinks it's clever.

Long story short: someone made that page in Photoshop and a head mod at gg decided to go ahead with the joke.

I preferred Eclipse anyway and haven't used gg since season one ended (and many of the eps of season one I didn't get from them anyway because of all their arsing about). Sounds like butthurt to me, there are only a handful of episodes left.
