Looks like GG is no longer subbing Geass :( Shame, I thought they were the best out of the subbing groups...

EDIT: Although this is on the GG main page, people are saying this could be some kind of joke? Apparently anonymous made a fake Photoshop of their news page, and posted it on 4chan. I guess someone from GG thought it funny enough to make into an actual news post.

Have you guys ever wandered off of LJ and taken a look at Geass' fanbase? Have you been to /a/ or AS or any anime blog? This show's fanbase IS fucking retarded. Fortunately, I find that LJ has less idiots than most venues. Thankfully. -_-

The fact that it's on Adult Swim now and open to a, *ahem*, certain demographic of people now is the reason I only stick around here and nowhere else for my Geass discussions. Well, here's to hoping it won't, although sadly it somewhat is, become the next Death Note. I was relieved when I only saw about 5 Code Geass cosplayers last month at Metrocon, to be honest; I mean, it's a semi-fangirl bait series to begin with, but since I haven't seen any merchandise of it anywhere it might slip under the rabid fangirl radar that's eaten all the popular series and spit them out like trash. Funny, reminds me of Eureka Seven if this continues: Supposedly big in Japan, and around 50 episodes long, but it never really caught on here... Well, here's to hoping.

And as for the 'dropping', I really prefer gg over Eclipse (...What's Eclipse's site? I've never found it, which I guess contributes to my liking gg over them.) because their subs just sound like someone actually talks; whereas the latter's can sound really wonky and unnatural at times.
But knowing them, it's probably a joke.

Well I haven't been using gg any this season, I like the quality of eclipse more and gg has a bad habit of doubling up the subtitles on me (aka messing up the timing so I have multiple lines overlaying one another :/ veeery hard to read)

are you watching gg's stuff on VLC? If so then the subs unfortunately have a sad tendency to do that in that player.

gg recommends the CCCP (http://cccp-project.net/) for playback. I've used it to play all their Geass releases from season 1 ep 15 onward, and it still has yet to mess up. ^^;

I enjoy gg's releases especially since they allow me to grab my caps without needing to dload a raw xD

I too prefer gg. I've stuck with their subs since the beginning. Well, them and Your Mom subs, which make me laugh because of their unproffessional comments. ;)
