Looks like GG is no longer subbing Geass :( Shame, I thought they were the best out of the subbing groups...
EDIT: Although this is on the GG main page, people are saying this could be some kind of joke? Apparently anonymous made a fake Photoshop of their news page, and posted it on 4chan. I guess someone from GG thought it funny enough to make into an actual news post.

I don't really have a preference. More often than not, I end up using both a week. [gg] is faster by a few hours, and they release .ass files, so it works with a RAW. [Eclipse] releases .avi's and makes it easier for me to watch later. They're both good (well, decent), and /a/'s retarded fascination with the nonexistent subber rivalry (GG and Eclipse BFFs!) is pointlessly stupid.
Koda is cool, though, which is a plus for [gg]. The fact that she actually gets out into various discussion venues and has fun with the rest of the fanbase is not only good publicity for [gg] but just more fun for the rest of us.
To be honest, I haven't really noticed a change in the fandom once it hit AS. I did notice a change once R2 started airing, though. Maybe it's because despite it being fangirl/fanboy yaoi/hentai/harem fodder, there actually is a lot of stuff to mull over and consider. And maybe the people that stuck with the fandom in the interim were more interested in the nuances of this show (I feel silly writing that, BUT THEY DO EXIST!) than others who watch it and don't think about it--some of whom can't rub two brain cells together or are capable of even an inkling of critical thought.
Anyways, GOOD. Less exposure is probably a good thing.
