The title of the show is Code Geass R2. It could imply that Lelouch has both Code and Geass. And now he's R.R (R2.. RURUSHHU)

The directors wants you guys to sit back and think. Even if some of you insist that he's dead for real. BUT the real truth is.. he MIGHT NOT BE DEAD because the ending is ambiguous. And C.C is happy in the end. It must be mean something right? After the promise he made with her.

..why is it horrible? Everything worked out as it was supposed to. Every goal that Lelouch made from the beginning of the series to the end was accomplished and in fact, the entire idea of the series was done, the liberation of the world.

in pg 4 or 5 of these comments someone posted a pic of C.C and I noticed that your can't see her CODE...does anyone else not notice that. The way her hair is parted you would totally see it and Nunally's paper crane. I think he did end up leaving and through all the confusion he still alive. You just have to think about it and watch the episode "carefully" becuase it will get lost in translation with all the emotions of LULU "SUPPOSEDLY" dying when it clearly shows he didn't

Alright, before I read the whole thread, am I one of the few people who, despite watching the raw, thought the ending made perfect sense? Lelouch pretty much knew that he'd have to fix the world, even if it meant killing himself in the process. Despite my favorite anime character ever's death, I thought it was a really powerful, if plot-hole-riddled end.
It's times like these I wish I cried more easily at anime/movies. ;-; I am so ready to shed some manly tears for Lelouch.

I honestly loved the ending. It's the way things are supposed to be, for ALL of Lelouch's promises to be fullfilled (minus one). He erased Euphy's crimes with his own, everyone's free and happy, and Britania's strangle hold on the world is over.

Yes, it's sad he died, but more sad for what he gave up, to achive what he said. ...though, in the end, his repuation, his worth...his life doesn't mean anything, if he didn't make those sacrifices to keep what he swore to.

I just wished his last loose end had been tied up, and he had found a way to grant CC dead before his own...then again, I can't understand most of what their saying, so maybe she's okay with being the last thread un-done *shrugs*

Lelouche and Suzaku's relationship seem similar to Subaru and Seishirou of TokyoBabylon/X fame.They meet. Spend a year of pure happiness together. They are separated by tragic events and are reunited again. Their hearts are full of unspoken wishes and misunderstanding. Seishirou wanted to die and be killed by Subaru, his dearest person. Lelouche wanted to die to atone for all he has done and he also wanted Suzaku to do it, his dearest and most trusted friend. Subaru kills Seishirou to grant his wish but he had to live on so he can continue Seishirou's legacy and to make sure that Seishirou's memory is not forgottn. Suzaku like Subaru murders his dearest friend out of love and desire to make his wish come true . However he must bear the burden of life ,continue Lelouche's legacy of Zero and live the future that they dreamed about.
I truly enjoyed watching CG 1 and 2!
