I know, I know. More discussion posts. But I have several questions that I'd like to see theories/answers for.

1. Did all of the Black Knights finally acknowledge Lelouch's true intentions? Or is it just Kallen? Because the only thing that would make me completely satisfied with the ending is that they recognize what Lelouch did.

2. Suzaku is forever to be Zero, right? However, what happens once he becomes old? Even super-powered plot-haxing characters grow old, too. He'd have to pass down the helmet to someone else, which may or may not involve revealing himself to the potential heir. Unless he's planning on taking the Zero name to his grave, but it's a symbol. I was thinking that the people would like to keep the legend alive.

3. In this scene you can clearly see Lelouch's face. I was wondering if the people at the TV station could have seen Lelouch and Suzaku's exchange on top of the throne. Even if they couldn't lip-read, they probably could have seen Lelouch put his hand on the Zero Mask for a significant amount of time. There's also the possibility of nosy cameramen focusing on Nunnally and Lelouch, but I guess that can be discounted because baaaaaw Diethard.

I was thinking that there may be people who would study and analyze the assassination very closely. This is mostly wishful thinking on my part though.

4. Where would they bury Lelouch's body (assuming that you believe that he is dead)? I know Jeremiah, Suzaku, Kallen, and especially Nunnally would stop the people from tearing his corpse apart. Maybe with the rest of the royal family? Next to Clovis.

5. I hope no one disturbs Rolo's impromptu grave. ;___;

6. It seems like the world would eventually be ruled by children. You know, what with Kaguya, Nunnally, and Tianzi. New world order includes Loli Leaders.

7. Did anyone else think Schneizel looked adorably confused in this shot?

8. brb listening to Continued Story forever.

2. I like to think of the Zero symbol as a sort of Dread Pirate Roberts dealie. I'd hope that when it comes time for Suzaku to pass on the shiny black helmet, he'll have found someone worthy to know the truth and take on the role.

On a similar note, so what happens when Suzaku gets really really really old? He wasn't Geassed to not age, he was just Geassed to live. O.o;;

3. I was wondering about that too. My thought was that there would be some guy who takes the footage and spends days trying figure out what they're saying. Then there'd be some sort of controversy on Emperor Lelouch's relationship with 'Zero'. It... made sense in my head at the time.

4. ME TOO. DDDDD:

I'm just sad that Schneizel ended like that. It just seems too sad. He was awesome and he suddenly wasn't. I would have liked for him to die rather than be geassed.

1. I hope so, but I assume some of them were probably too stupid or didn't care. And perhaps, Kallen and Suzaku decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to tell them. If they figure it out on their own, then good, but telling them is like ruining some of Lelouch's secret, in a way, which was part of the point, I think.

2. I didn't think of him passing it down, only because I don't know that he or Lelouch would think that someone else would be worthy of that level of trust or burden, symbol or not. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Lelouch somehow left something that would help Suzaku set up the resources and the plans needed for the possibility of future Zero interventions if the time needed it, something along the lines of Schenberg's plan in Gundam 00.

But some Batman Beyond (edit wtf typo I can't fucking type tonight) sort of shit with the Zero thing would be kind of cool, too. Sort of want older Suzaku with some stupid kid.

3. I assume that conspiracy theorists in the Geass universe had a goddamn field day with this assassination.

6. Anime and videogames have taught me that children rule the world better than adults. ...actually, sci-fi novels have too.

7. Even through the Geass, he might remember that Lelouch is Zero. So, yeah, probably terribly confused, the poor dear.

2 - It isn't said anywhere and well, I'm betting the people themselves don't think Zero is going to live on forever and ever. He's since as a hero, but I doubt they expect him to forever take care of the world. I was more under the impression that with the younger ones the world would grow on to become more peaceful and able to handle itself better not under the driect thumb of Britannia and its royals. Or maybe zero would become one of those legend type things that lives on through history, even after Suzuku eventually died, but I can't really imagine him telling anyone about his reality, that's what was so sad about his fate.

3 - The hand holding mask thing could have been taken as just Lelouch throwing his hands out in death throe. I mean, after being stabbed in the chest I doubt your body's much under your own control anymore, and it'd be seen as him just grabbing onto the nearest steady object, as in Zero/Suzuku. The lip reading is a totally different topic, assuming they caught that, and yeah, with all the cameras there, they would - that can only really be explained as - it's geass.

4. omg this has been bothering me too! considering how much the world hates him i doubt they would give him a proper burial but then suzaku, nunnally, and everyone else who knew about the zero requiem mightve snuck his body away or something..
7. lol yes even through the down pour of tears i felt slightly amused by that face...

2. I don't know how, but I think Suzaku will die young. He's been using THE CURSE OF GEASS as a tool to help him in battle as well as the Zero Requiem, but I believe he has the potential to break Geass with his will. There was a big discussion on this before, about how no one has been able to fully break Lelouch's Geass, but, you know. Speculations! Either way, Zero is like a legacy. He'll live on, but not everyone can be Zero-- so maybe Suzaku will find some heir to the throne.

3. You'd imagine they would. They probably won't.

4. Oh my goodness, I'm sorry that all my thoughts are so heavily influenced by HOMOLUST. Anyway, I imagine after the mob of people go to cheer on Zero they'll try to beat up Lelouch's corpse or something. After all, he's the symbol of hatred. But then Zerozaku and his fabulous pink sword stops him. I hope he is either a) buried next to Suzaku's grave or b) gets an unmarked memorial, like Rolo.

W-WAIT, PROFESSOR LAYTON :`D ♥♥♥

1. Dunno...Kallen for sure, Xingke maybe since he's genius lol. Kaguya too. They might've told everyone.

2. Yeah I was thinking about this too. I concluded that he's probably going to pass on Zero to someone else :D

4. Hmm Jeremiah, Suzaku, Kallen, and Nunnally would probably bury him somewhere where he had peace...maybe Ashford?

6. YES, IT IS TEH WORLD RULED BY TEH CHILDREN!! -evil laughter-

He'd have to pass down the helmet to someone else, which may or may not involve revealing himself to the potential heir. Unless he's planning on taking the Zero name to his grave, but it's a symbol.

It's possible he might groom someone to be the successor? =\ Zero after all is a legend (within the Black Knights) and a symbol rather than an actual person. It's possible Suzaku would stick around for Nunally's generation though? Then either groom a successor or just let someone else take up the helm, who knows?

the people at the TV station could have seen Lelouch and Suzaku's exchange on top of the throne.

Uh. It'd be one-sided, since they can't really 'see' Suzaku. If they read Lulu's lips, they would have gotten a really one-sided conversation. =X There might be too much shock for them to actually have paid attention though. I mean, you see your tyrant ruler get stabbed by the saviour of humanity, I don't think anyone would actually be trying to read his lips. =\

I was thinking that there may be people who would study and analyze the assassination very closely.

Considering Lelouch is (or was) a tyrant to the people (even though he was acting like one, so that the world's hate would be focussed on him), many people might remember him as just 'The Tyrant' and not bother too much of his assassination. He is, after all, a bad guy that the good guy killed in the name of justice and all that Zero believes in, so I really do doubt they'd do that.

7. Did anyone else think Schneizel looked adorably confused in this shot?

Maybe it's cause he has knowledge that Lelouch = Zero and then a Zero appears before him, which confuses him because he does have the knowledge Lelouch = Zero (Lulu only geassed him to follow Zero, but probably didn't geass him to forget what he knows?)

3. Ya know I came up with this idea earlier regarding that. Like if scholars say 100 years on Geass Earth start analyzing the rise and fall of Zero and Lelouch (so to speak), they might figure it out, Anytime before say, 100 years, would be too soon, especially if a theory about it got out it could collapse the new world Lelouch created.

4. Yes, next to Clovis. Though would be interesting to see his grave...especially with a black king piece on the stone.

7. Yeah if I was in tattered clothes and had a huge gold chain around me, I'd be pretty confused also. It was just Lelouch being his FABULOUS self again.

2. But Suzaku is Suzaku - he's basically friggin' immortal ='O

4. Yeah, I think they would bury him with the rest of the royal family :/

5. Bawww, no one but Lelouch even knows his body's there...

7 YES<3 He's like 'Huh? What's goin' on...?' XD

1)I'm guessing that everyone who was aware that Lelouch was Zero managed to put two and two together or had it put together for them by someone else who did. And of course if they thought about it enough they'd probably realize that the whole reason why he had to embark on that path was because they kicked him out without giving him a real chance to defend himself, the thought of which I'm sure satisfies the people who always thought that they should burn for turning on him regardless of reasons or circumstances.

2)It's possible that the world will get to the point where they no longer need Zero. Or maybe he'll pass the mask on to someone else.

3)This files clearly under the heading of "realistically, yes, but since it would break the plot somewhat if it were true, no, the public didn't lipread/hear what was going on there."

4)I kind of like the idea of him being buried as Lelouch Lamperouge in a local graveyard (where Shirley was, assuming it wasn't vaporized?), personally. Lelouch vi Britannia was a heartless dick who deserved what he got (and was of course an entirely fake persona,) Lelouch Lamperouge was the person that most of them really cared about.

5)It seemed to be out in the middle of nowhere, so I'm guessing nobody's going to even stumble upon it for a while.

6)I always wanted to see a scene with Nunnaly, Kaguya, and Tianzi together, personally, I think they'd make an interesting trio. But yeah, every major world power that comes into play in the plot(China, Japan, Britannia) has its own loli high up in the power structure. I don't think it's an intended parallel, that's just how it turned out.

7)Related (http://trainwreck.ggkthx.org/2008/09/29/mind-raped-geassed-schneizel/)

8)Definitely my favorite Hitomi song of the show, personally. Not saying much as I never particularly liked any of the other ones.

2) I think once Suzaku dies as Zero, that would be the end. By that time I'm sure the world would be peaceful enough to get along on it's own and accept the death. Plus, I don't think Suzaku would be able to pass down the Zero lifestyle to someone else considering it's basically like giving up your life to hide behind a mask forever. I'm betting he would take it to his grave.

1. The people who knew Lelouch was Zero would have probably put the two togehter- Cornelia and a few others also seem like they understood.
Tamaki won't though. He fails too much xD

2. Suzaku will give it to his son/daughter kinda like the whole Syaoran thing in TRC? xD

3. Everyone wanted him dead, so I don't think any investigation or anything would have taken place.

4. I think Nunnally would build a private little memorial site/grave thing in some beautiful garden somewhere.

2_ Soon People won't need Zero anymore. Suzaku will change his name (Lelouch did the same in the past) and after few yers he will live happily with Nunnaly. They will overcome their pain and take care of each other.

1 - Karen reaction to the appearance of Zero indicates that she has figured out at least Lelouch intent to die, and the fact that Suzaku is now Zero. Tohdoh, too, seems to have somehow recognize his former student behind Zero's mask. So I guess yeah, at least in a way they'll know that the conveniently reappered Zero is Suzaku and that this switch must have been planned by Lelouch himself.
The details of Zero Requiem and Lelouch current condition will be, anyway, unknow to anyone but CC, Suzaku and maybe Jeremiah.

2 - I guess that the new world Lelouch wished for and everyone's trying to built won't need a Zero for such a long time ...

3 - Nah, it was an impression given by the show.. anyone else reaction to Zerozaku's appearence are shown in slow motion, the stabbing has been very very fast...

4 - IDK, but when Jeremiah orders the imperial guard to retreat, they probably quickly move away carrying Lelouch's body with them. And anyway, it's higly uncommon for normal britannian citizen from the 20th century to tear apart a corpse even if Lelouch was so hated. ° °

6 - The three Little Graces of the Brand New World : we'll rule you all with tea, teddy bears and my little ponies. So it seems.

1. Among the others mentionde in the other replies I'd like to list toudo. He surely recognized Suzaku's inhuman athletic abilities.

2. Zero has already died twice officially (during the Black Rebellion and on the Ikaruga after Fleya was used). I think people don't expect Zero to live forever but someone else to pick up the legacy.

3. Lelouch was leaning on Suzaku. Depending on where camera's were this might have kept hidden his lips.

4. I think 'Zero' wouldn't allow such behaviour but I might be wrong. Jeremiah had been forced to retreat however and I'm not sure if Nunnally and a still tied Kallen would manage to stop a mod. My guess is that he'll have two graves, one for the emperor and one for Lelouch where he'll be transferred in secret.

5. Oh, I wouldn't mind if Lelouch would be buried next to Rolo's grave... and i think Rolo wouldn't mind either...

6. LOL

7. Yep, it's not Shneizer's day but I think he managed to do the math and guess what Lelouch did. However understanding doesn't mean it make a difference to him. He was geassed to obey Zero. He recognized Lelouch as Zero so it might be Lelouch/Zero told him to serve Suzaku/Zero or that he simply serve Suzaku because his Geass work on every Zero...

8 Great music...

2. I was wondering what would happen and Suzaku got old, too. Who would be the leader after this whole generation of peace? Wouldn't it all collapse again?

3. I'd been thinking that wouldn't people watching this all be like "what are thehy whispering to each other? why is he smiling?"

4. I was actually thinking about writing a fic about the funeral and the grave, but then I procrastinated and couldn't decide where to bury him

6. OMG, I hadn't thought about the overwhelming amount of lolis. Maybe Anya will take over the orange juice market

Where would they bury Lelouch's body? In Zerozaku's chambers. <--LOLWTF In Jupiter. I suppose Suzaku will have to find some place where it can't be disturbed/taken by the tons of Lelouch-haters?

Too many questions left unanswered ;___;
