Paul dies in Children of Dune. Alia has replaced him as Empress and he is thought dead, but he turns up incognito in Arrakeen, denounces Alia and the Jihad, and is stabbed by an enraged priest of the Imperial Cult. Then Alia jumps out the window and the two bodies lie next to each other for quite a while until Leto gets around to having them taken away.
OH OF COURSE. Nunnally is too sweet and even she knows that when she's being evil her heart isn't really in it. Alia is just a fucking badass!bitch!queen and we love her for it.
Uhm... Zero Requiem changes the world and gets you killed. Golden Path changes the universe and gets you killed in a billion or whatever years... hard choice, but I would prefer boredom to just 18 years of life, even with the becoming a worm bit).
I MEAN. The whole Sakuradite incident reminded me a lot of the spice dealio, or rather, vice versa, because I read Dune after I started with Code Geass. I need to read the other 5 or so that Frank Herbert wrote; am not going near the ones his son did.
The later books go more into what Spice can do to you and its effects on the mind are eerily similar to those of Refrain. Leto ends up reliving the pleasant memories of everybody in his entire bloodline back to Jacob Broom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Broom).
I read the first Dune... Then I looked up all the others and got a headache... -___-; I didn't like the lack of development for lots of the characters in Dune, anyway.
I really don't like that whole long-time-multi-spanning-generations thing. I tried it for the Ender series, but in the end, the only book I liked was the first one and parts of the second one were tolerable -- but after that it was crazy confusing and psychological and stuff. >_>

And Refrain doesn't give you pretty blue eyes :3
Still, if Leto did find a C.C. under the sand...

Leto lived for 3,518 years.
Still, if Leto did find a C.C. under the sand...
