Favorite scenes in Code Geass

Since post-series polls are all the rage nowadays...

I want to know what your favorite scene(s) in Code Geass are. It can be serious or lighthearted, plotfully relevant or flat-out silly, an action or a piece of text, whatever. Feel free to take from not just the two season but also the Sound Episodes, the Picture Dramas, and even the novels.


Personally, I think that Lelouch and Suzaku's phone conversation at the end of Stage 23 was the best piece of writing in the entire canon. Epic and menacing, it set the tone for the rest of the series. I also particularly enjoyed C.C.'s S1 ending narration (now made even more tragic), as well as Suzaku's Patriotic Outburst in that one SE. Are my Suzakufag stripes showing yet?

On a slightly different note, I thought Euphie and Lelouch's deaths were the best composed scenes, with all the visual and auditory elements artfully aligned for maximum gutpunch value.

As far as lighthearted scenes go, I have to give it up to Lelouch's awesomely girly gasp, tsundere!Luluko, and "cats and tomatoes don't come in a set!" Thanks for clearing that up for us, Lulu. =P

I loved how the world fucks Lelouch, then Lelouch as Zero fucks the world AND then the world comes back to fuck Lelouch again usually by the end of the episode.

For the seriousness, Euphie assassinating the Japanese and her death is probably my favorite part of Code Geass. Those were amazing scenes.

For the lulz, Orange-kun owning an orange plantation. XD After the seriousness of the last episode, that cracked me up.

Of course, I have many other favorite scenes, but those are the ones I remember the most.

IMO Code Geass wouldn't exactly be the same if even one episode was missing.

* In R2 17, the scene at the shrine, where things start awkward and then Suzaku begins to see through Lelouch's halftruths, and then FUCK SCHNEIZEL YOU RUINED EVERYTHING.

- That one scene where C.C. wanders off into Ashford Academy grounds in Lulu's clothes and starts dancing around in circles. Lelouch sees her, and grabs Kallen's face so she doesn't turn around, but Shirley, who happens to walk past the scene interprets it wrong.

You gotta love Shirley's imaginations. :3

-Episode 23 of Season 1, when C.C. comforts Lelouch after he killed Euphemia with his own hands. I definitely felt a lot of emotion and bonding between the two. Clearly you could see how much C.C. cares for Lelouch, and he only has her to lean on.
-Final episode of Season 1, Lelouch tells C.C. that she is not alone, that they are accomplices. If she was a witch, then he'll become a warlock. I honestly think that's the best line of Lelouch in S1.
-Final Episode of Season 1, C.C. kissed Lelouch for the first time. They were in Gawain at that moment.
-Episode 19 of Season 2, Rolo's death was heart-wrenching for me. His death really made me cry. I felt sorry for Rolo who was used as a tool all his life.
-Episode 16 of Season 2, After Lelouch accidentally hurt C.C., he was surprised to see the blood and touches her hand gently while shaking.
-Final Episode of Season 2, Lelouch's death scene was epic.

Whenever I hear Orenji saying "Zenryoku de" I burst. Fucking awesome. In LuluKuru radio show they always made fun of that line; like Lelouch saying "Zenryoku de Newtype wo yomu".

Picture dramas;
Cross dressing fest, Lelouch bitching Suzaku about manners in a girl's dress.

Sound eps;
The whole R2 Sound eps 1 was epic to begin with, but Suzaku lifting Lancelot's foot literally to help Cecile to get some machine-part-thing was definitely uberly epic, I couldn't breathe properly from laughing when I first listened to this scene.
Hangyaku Gakuen Geass sensei; in which Rocketmoto says "Lol I pawn Lelouch" and Nina saying "Dame oyaji". Tears lol.

Well, all the scenes in CG are my favorite.. <33
Though in particular, I loved these 3 scenes the most :

1. When Shirley dies..Lulu's dialogue "Dameda! Shinoda Shirley!!" [Dunno if I spelled it properly. :x ]
2. When Suzaku's tears flow after he stabs Lulu.
3. When Nunally cries over Lulu's "dead" body. *sobs* Made me cry~~

Btw, thanks for this post. I'm glad to see people's preference of diff. scenes. :D
