Since post-series polls are all the rage nowadays...
I want to know what your favorite scene(s) in Code Geass are. It can be serious or lighthearted, plotfully relevant or flat-out silly, an action or a piece of text, whatever. Feel free to take from not just the two season but also the Sound Episodes, the Picture Dramas, and even the novels.
Personally, I think that Lelouch and Suzaku's phone conversation at the end of Stage 23 was the best piece of writing in the entire canon. Epic and menacing, it set the tone for the rest of the series. I also particularly enjoyed C.C.'s S1 ending narration (now made even more tragic), as well as Suzaku's Patriotic Outburst in that one SE.Are my Suzakufag stripes showing yet?
On a slightly different note, I thought Euphie and Lelouch's deaths were the best composed scenes, with all the visual and auditory elements artfully aligned for maximum gutpunch value.
As far as lighthearted scenes go, I have to give it up to Lelouch's awesomely girly gasp, tsundere!Luluko, and "cats and tomatoes don't come in a set!" Thanks for clearing that up for us, Lulu. =P

- LULU X C.C. MOMENTS YES
- Season one, episode 6 cat business. >8D
- That one scene where C.C. wanders off into Ashford Academy grounds in Lulu's clothes and starts dancing around in circles. Lelouch sees her, and grabs Kallen's face so she doesn't turn around, but Shirley, who happens to walk past the scene interprets it wrong.
You gotta love Shirley's imaginations. :3
Sound Episode stuff
- Suzaku telling Lelouch that he learned how to drive from playing video games. <- Rololololololo
- Shirley imagining Lelouch and Suzaku getting married.
Oh, there's more but I can't think at the moment. z_z

I didn't catch any phrase that Shirley imagining Suzaku and Lelouch getting married though? She does think of beaches (well thinks of a sport at first, ..swimming, then somehow she turns the scene into a BL drama CD), and both of them are running and Suzaku being playful and Lelouch being "Ah hah hah this guuuuuuuy~ <3" and then she faints. ..Then wakes up and faints again to the "Slippery Lelouch" remark.
..
I can't believe I've memorized the whole Sound eps.(no subject)

And come to think of it, you're right. I don't seem to remember anything about them getting married, either. There was talk of them holding each other naked, though. Oh crack... XD

___________
Suzaku: (whisper) You really think it'll work?
Lelouch: (whisper) Trust me, the plan is perfect. Forget that -- you'd better be able to drive like you said.
Suzaku: Don't worry, you leave that to me.
Lelouch: Commencing countdown. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 -- 0!
(Sound of explosion + firecrackers)
Special Personnel 1: Wha--!?
Special Personnel 2: Terrorists!?
Special Personnel 3: Protect Genbu-sama!!
Suzaku: (awed) Amazing... Explosions and a smoke screen. Did you really do all that on your own, Lelouch?
Lelouch: Told you it was perfect. Now's our chance! Let's go, Suzaku!
Suzaku: Yeah!
(Sound of running footsteps)
Lelouch: We got into the car as the trap we prepared went off. Our destination: (sound of a chick chirping) its nest. A chick now unable to fly after an attack by a larger bird. We know where the nest is -- on a tree branch near the top of the neighbouring mountain. Suzaku found it through a pair of binoculars.
Lelouch: Alright, it's running!
Suzaku: Wow! You're just like a car thief!
Lelouch: Keep your unnecessary comments to yourself. Step on it, quickly!
Suzaku: Right! Here comes Kururugi Suzaku!
(Sound of screeching tyres)
Lelouch: If we try to step outside the grounds of the Kururugi Shrine, the SPs will stop us. Suzaku and I are very important to them, after all -- though mine is an importance of an entirely different sort.
Suzaku: Won't they come after us?
Lelouch: I've disabled all the cars in the Kururugi Shrine. It should take about 10 minutes for them to contact their other personnel and have cars dispatched from the town at the foot of the mountain. Think you can get past the intersection in front of the post office before then?
Suzaku: No sweat. 70km per hour should do it, right?
(Sound of screeching tyres)
Lelouch: Incredible. Where'd you practise driving?
Suzaku: (confused) What're you talking about? You practised too, didn't you?
Lelouch: Eh? ...Wait -- videogames!?
Suzaku: What else? There's no way they'd let a kid drive a real car.
Lelouch: (distressed) O-Oi! Stop the car! This isn't funny!
Suzaku: No way. Gotta reach the post office within 10 minutes, right? Just leave it to me!
Lelouch: (distressed) ...Nunnally!
(Sound of bird chirping starts and fades)
(Sound of car stopping)
Suzaku: (excitedly) It's here, the chick's nest! Come on, Lelouch! You can see the Kururugi Shrine from here.
Lelouch: (panting heavily)
Suzaku: Really, are all princes this lacking in stamina?
Lelouch: You're too athletic... (pant) ...muscle-for-brains!
Suzaku: Sore loser. Come on, give me your hand.
Lelouch: Alright.
Suzaku: Up we go.
(Sound of bird chirping)
Lelouch: (awed) We really made it, the both of us.
Suzaku: Yeah, we totally outwitted the grownups! (chuckle) Couldn't have done it without your plan.
Lelouch: I hid the car and and left a decoy trail for them to follow. They shouldn't be able to find us for at least half a day.
Suzaku: That's incredible! How do you think of all these things?
Lelouch: They treat us like kids and underestimate us so it wasn't that difficult at all. Though I really had no idea you were talking about videogames when you said you'd driven before.
Suzaku: Oh, come off it! I did fine.
Lelouch: You're completely unreasonable, you know?
(pause)
Lelouch: (starts laughing)
Suzaku: (joins in)
(Laughter fades)
Suzaku: Say, Lelouch... I've been thinking about it... maybe nothing can stop us if we work together.
Lelouch: (chuckle) You're being silly. (pause) It'd be nice if that were true, though.
Suzaku: I'm certain of it, Lelouch.
Lelouch: Are you going to be the Prime Minister, like your father?
Suzaku: If that happens, you be the Emperor.
Lelouch: That's impossible, I no longer have the right to the throne.
Suzaku: I'll help you.
Lelouch: You, Suzaku?
Suzaku: I told you, didn't I? Nothing's impossible if we work together.
Lelouch: Really... (chuckle) Yes, you may be right.
Suzaku: Alright, that's decided! (haughtily) I'll make you the Emperor.
Lelouch: Thanks. In that case, I'll make you--
2/2
Lelouch: What's that?
Suzaku: There's a strange noise coming from over there.
Lelouch: Eh?
Suzaku: It's coming from the town.
Lelouch: Let's go look. The east is higher ground around here; if we clear the north-northwest slope we should have a view of the town.
Suzaku: Got it.
Lelouch: We ran... ran through the sunflowers and up the steep slope... There, we saw...
(Sound of explosions and gunfire)
Suzaku: Lelouch, that's...
Lelouch: Britannia's...
Lelouch: An overwhelming number of ominous silhouettes were hovering about Mt. Fuji. August 10 -- the day the Holy Empire of Britannia declared war on Japan. And that was also... the end of... our brilliant, blissful days of summer...
