Hi, so I'm a fan who was alerted to CG by my f-list spontaneously combusting over the ending. I was curious. So I watched the entire series (original AND R2) in 2 days. I don't even know. Eyes hurt like hell afterwards. Also Lelouche of course left me in a state of T_T afterwards which did not help me. Anyway, would you please explain to me this large subject:
What exactly is CC's relationship to Lelouche in regards to her knowing his parents? I really like CC&Lulu's relationship, so I'm curious to how that plot twist changes it. I mean, did CC stake out Lelouch because she knew his parents? Was she actually betraying him the whole time in a way because she knew about Charles' and Marrianne's plans and never told him? WTF. Because that throws a whole other dark wrench into their "partnership".
Enlighten me, you long time experienced fans. For this poor n00b who already spent 3 weekdays doing nothing but watching and looking for pictures of Code Geass and screwed over her homework/study time.

C.C. meeting Lelouch and granting him the geass in Stage 1 seems more or less coincidence. However, as
I think that she deliberately kept him in the dark for most of the series. She had in mind the singular goal to die, and I think she figured that if Lelouch knew how complex everything behind the scenes was, he would lose his way, and she would never be able to give the Code to him. Remember his two overt reasons for fighting Britannia--1) make a gentle world befitting Nunnally, and 2) find out the reason behind Marianne's death and avenge her. Imagine C.C. had told him the truth about Marianne up front. Half of his overt motivation would be wiped out.
As for the Ragnarok plan itself, I'm not sure it mattered too much in their relationship for her to feel like she was withholding something from him. It was the codes that mattered, and until Lelouch took her immortality, that was a matter between her and Charles and Marianne. Until then, Lelouch was just bait in the greater scheme of things, and she couldn't afford to have him waver from his path. And once he gets the code, well... Not her problem anymore. =P
Anyways, welcome to the

I know CC must have known that Lelouch and Nunnally were Marianne and Charles' children beforehand, but I wanted to figure out whether CC took a bullet for him because she knew who he was. Though having him be the one to rescue her was a coincidence, do you think she immediately recognized him?
Okay, trying to sort this out: so taking into accord that CC wanted to die more than anything, that is why for a moment she went to Charles so that he could kill her, even though him gaining more power would be detrimental to Lelouch's goals...? (okay, now I can't remember why Charles even wanted her. Wasn't he already immortal?)
Thanks~!
