Hi, so I'm a fan who was alerted to CG by my f-list spontaneously combusting over the ending. I was curious. So I watched the entire series (original AND R2) in 2 days. I don't even know. Eyes hurt like hell afterwards. Also Lelouche of course left me in a state of T_T afterwards which did not help me. Anyway, would you please explain to me this large subject:

What exactly is CC's relationship to Lelouche in regards to her knowing his parents? I really like CC&Lulu's relationship, so I'm curious to how that plot twist changes it. I mean, did CC stake out Lelouch because she knew his parents? Was she actually betraying him the whole time in a way because she knew about Charles' and Marrianne's plans and never told him? WTF. Because that throws a whole other dark wrench into their "partnership".

Enlighten me, you long time experienced fans. For this poor n00b who already spent 3 weekdays doing nothing but watching and looking for pictures of Code Geass and screwed over her homework/study time.

Welcome to the fandom! Wow, that was one hell of a marathon... personally, I wouldn't recommend that course of action to anyone because CG has (had ;_;) some twists to plot that one should take one step at a time. Just to digest the information and form a personal idea. But I will give my two cents anyway...

Did CC stake out Lelouch because she knew his parents?

More or less, yes. Marianne told her about her son being a good candidate for the Geass, but the truth was she only wanted to give Charles the opportunity to find her. You see: Rebellious son with a mind controlling power causing havoc= LOL CC must be somewhere near there. Catch them! I'm also basing this in the fact that CC and Marianne must have talked, say when the former was still with Mao but wasn't able to tell Charles her location. Like a one way mirror, CC knew Marianne was disembodied somewhere, but Marianne couldn't tell if CC was in China, Australia or whatever.

Was she actually betraying him the whole time in a way because she knew about Charles' and Marrianne's plans and never told him?

Faster way out. Like a back-up plan. If she helped Lelouch accomplish his goals, maybe at the end he would've fulfilled his part of the deal. If he failed, there was still Charles. Although at the last minute I think she wasn't so sure about giving Lelouch her immortality, she knew how painful it was and she didn't want to impose that on Lelouch, so Charles was again the "safe" option. That and because Ragnarok wasn't such a bad plan and there would've been a lot of love-love in the humanity-tang.

Those are my theories o_o;
