So I went to the opening night of Code Geass Riot's Eve. The plot was fairly simple so even without knowing terribly much Japanese I could get the gist of it, though I did miss some of the details. Apologies for any inaccuracies and forgetfulness.
Without spoiling anything I can say that I liked it! Anything more and I'll put it behind this cut. (Entire plot spoilers) )

ETA: I don't know if this can be viewed outside of Japan, but this PV from the play site includes the Picture Drama style scenes from the play found in the program: http://www.b-ch.com/ttl/index.php?ttl_c=585&mvc=3_24011_0_0
ETA 2: Here is a Youtube upload of the above.

Geass-stage has updated with the cast photos.

There's also an interview at animeanime.jp with Enichi Tanno (Lelouch) and Hidemasa Shiozawa (Suzaku).
So at 7 am this morning Pacific Standard Time, it was midnight on Christmas in Japan, so the Geass stage show site now has lots of new information: http://www.geass-stage.net/pc/ticket/index.php

The site is not yet fully done (some links are currently disabled, including buying tickets on the site but I'll get to that in a bit). But it includes information on the story, cast (currently Lelouch and Suzaku), staff, and tickets.

My reading comprehension in Japanese is pretty awful, but looking at that ticket page it seems like from 10am Japan time December 25th (5pm PST 8pm EST Dec 24) until 6pm January 3rd tickets will be available for pre-order or reserve exclusively from Family Mart. (Please correct me if I'm reading that wrong, and will update as any helpful people provide translations)
I imagine that after that tickets will be available through the site but I don't know.

Premium tickets are 9800 yen, S-seat tickets are 7800 yen, A-seat tickets are 6800 yen, and balcony seats where you may be unable to see everything are 3800 yen.

(I'm actually going to be in Tokyo on the 7th and 8th because it's the end of my honeymoon, and I want to see this like burning, so I'm watching this stuff like a hawk. Updates will be given as relevant translations are posted in the comments and if the site changes at 10am Japan time)

ETA: Apparently tickets can be purchased through the site and are available for delivery, but the address entry form only allows for a Japanese postal code and prefecture. So it looks like you have to be in Japan to get tickets right now.
Does anyone else recall way back when the new Geass projects were being announced that Kawaguchi, the Code Geass producer made a comment about he'd love see a version of Code Geass on stage? (I certainly recall it, just because of pirouetting Suzaku jokes).

Well, check out this year's announcement for Lelouch's birthday.

ANN has helpfully translated the relevant details: In April of 2012, there are going to be 13 performances over 9 days of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Sōran Eve Matsuri (Riot's Eve Festival) at the Mozart Hall at Tokyo's Katsuhika Symphony Hills

More details and ticket pre-orders will be open on Christmas Day.

I really hope it's a musical.

The official site also has something up about Akito, if anyone cares to translate.
