Code Geass hits almost every possible kind of character out there (I think anyways).
I agree. Code Geass seems to seek to please all of the people some of the time rather than some of the people all of the time; the characters and show elements are sampled from a wide variety of genres and tastes. Which is probably why there's such a broken base over characters, pairings, R1 vs R2, various arcs, etc.
