Do you think that Lelouch loved someone romantically in the end?There have been hints with C.C., Shirley and Kallen.Personally i think that the staff was going with C.C. and Lelouch in the first season and in the second they took the route for Lelouch and Kallen.Shirley was in school and it was hard in the first place.
What is your opinion?

Meh. Lelouch always struck me as asexual. XD

He definitely cared deeply for all 3 of the girls but I don't think he ever paid close attention to romance at all. Too busy fighting Britannia.

If I had to choose a pairing, I would pick LelouchxShirley. I agree with muusikaline, Shirley genuinely loved him and the fact she loved him even after all he did to her family shows how strong her devotion was. Kallen loved him for his Zero persona, and C.C. seemed more like an accomplice than a lover (and she's too old for him anyway). :X

Ah, no. It was like this in the beginning but she came to love him for who he was ultimately. Re-watch her monologue in R2-22.

And C.C., did comfort and helped Lelouch a lot of times, past the accomplice-role. /and she certainly did like to tease him a lot which eliminates the age-difference too.

I do not really care which pairing you support or w/e but you cannot say that Kallen loved him only his Zero-persona, when she herself says she grew to love him more than this. /and her actions during R2 show that too.

And same goes for C.C. Lots of moments there to discard what you said.

At least for those two arguments you made, show itself proves otherwise. Unless you meant something else and you worded it wrongly.

I did not say "only", nor did I say C.C. was "only" an accomplice. I meant something much less generic than what I said, but I guess to avoid ranting I made myself much too unspecific. '_'

I was trying mostly to create a contrast with Shirley, except I made it more black and white than I intended.
