Rivalz (LOL RIVUL) said "bust our hump." Oh, the humanity.

I don't even want to think about how bad V.V. is gonna be.

I liked Suzaku's v.a., but as for Lelouch's, I only have one thing to say: ICHIGO KUROSAKKKIIIIIII.

RIVVLE.

Viletta got one line BUT IT WAS HOT. Overall, I am really enjoying the dub!

I-I don't think I'm going to enjoy watching the dub. D: After seeing this and ep. 2 at comic con, I fear for the rest of the series. ;_;

They didn't say "Yes, my lord" DDD: that was my favorite part of the episode too :(

I dunno, "Happily, you Highness" is pretty snazzy u guyth.

But I'm pleased with the dub. Personally, I think it's really good. The only thing is I have to get used to the voices since I keep thinking Jun's voice is going to come out of Lulu's animated!mouth.

...a-also is that Kaiba in the beginning. Or just someone who sounds a lot like him.

I would enjoy it so much more if frickin James Earl Jones did all of the Zero lines and not Johnny.

I'm like you. Generally...I like Jonny. When I learned he was playing Lelouch though I was worried, since I didn't feel he had a deep enough voice. I know people have said it already...but for some reason, American men just can't seem to get that rich, deep voice down.

I thought...he did a miserable job as Lulu. So many of the lines were lacking, and it was just...ugh. Suzaku however...I thought did great. I hate the character, but I think, at least this far, he's doing a good job. I don't mind CC's, and I thought Clovis was fine as well.

Overall...the girls didn't do all that great...and when Lulu happens to be my favorite character....and most his lines just didn't measure up...it was a big let down.

LOL! You know, I think that is partly why I was bothered as well. Suzaku shouldn't have had the deeper voice.

I'd disagree on the dub being all that great....

BUT! I didn't see anything wrong with "Happily your Highness." It didn't really need to be changed...but it sounded kind of fun. I had the same problem, and kept thinking I was going to hear Jun's voice, and expecting it.

I just don't think Jonny's voice is deep enough to do the character any justice though, and some of his lines fell too flat.

I'm watching it tomorrow on AS. I have so many friends that haven't seen it, I can't wait to see how they will feel about it.

I've certainly heard worse before but I wasn't very impressed. The translation was a bit wanky in a few spots (the pronounciation of Rivalz' name (I honestly can't figure how it ought to sound in English, but not like that) Kallen's "badass mother..." among other things). Llyod's voice made me facepalm hard (seriously, there's an English equivilant of that voice). There were quite a few spots where it became really painfully obvious that they're recording individually and not together (I noticed it most with Lelouch, his acting just fell really flat most of the time like he was talking to a wall and not playing off the other actors in the scene--admittedly it's a weakness of the American method of recording voices but you'd think the actors would be used to it). And whoever's dubbing the Emperor didn't do Wakamoto justice at all either (I guess that's a difficult standard to live up to).

Clovis and Suzaku's short-lived superior officer were pretty win though. Suzaku and C.C. were tollerable, but the messed up stress on Suzaku's name was a little annoying (it's on the first mora not the second!)

Make it frickin Jeremy Irons and that would give (official) grounds to make a "Be Prepared" amv with Lulu as Scar and Kallen, Ougi, and Tamaki as the hyenas. GREAT IDEA!!!! :Db

Is it "I will obliterate Britannia?" The previews had some shit like "This Britannia will be obliterated," and that, imo, was just unforgiveably incorrect. But if the former is the actual version, I wouldn't mind so much - remember, they do have to match syllables. Perhaps they sacrificed the flow of the sentence for that purpose, it wouldn't be the first time.

I don't get what's wrong with "Happily, your highness." I think it's just fine - "yes" works too, but he had the sort of rapt joy on his face enough that the line works in my opinion.

People put Death Note on Veoh just about as soon as the episodes come out. I don't know if it'll be the same for this, but it's worth checking.

I like to think that it's to show Lelouch's relative innocence, and he's going to settle into it in an episode or two.

This is possibly reading into it too much, but I think the pitch of their voices is important to their characters. :/

Oh, awesome! Thank you very much!
