Here's a quick translation of a few of the lines:
Lelouch - Lelouch, appearing like a devil with his black wings spread out. A chain is wrapped around his wrist. You can say that it is from which (the chain on his wrist) everything is bound/tied. His eyes hold a suspicious glimmer, beneath that left hand.
Nunnally and Rollo - Lelouch's sister Nunnally and brother Rollo, who are surrounded by a chain of gold. From Rollo's back, a black wing juts out, while a white one sprouts. This shows Rollo's two sides.
Cornelia and Euphemia - The intimate imperial sisters. The second imperial princess Cornelia, whose whereabouts are unknown and the third imperial princess Euphemia, who died from Geass. A brilliant light shines upon the two sisters who have been unfortunate.
I took some liberties with the translations. They're not too accurate, but the meaning's there, more or less.

Oh and my thoughts regarding Kallen, I consider her more of a supporting character, even if they used to include her in the "Big Main Four" characters in the first season. You can consider her an important character (in terms of having something to contribute to the story) but you can't really call her a lead character. And now, in the second season, they have like 9 "important" characters >___>. I hate to admit it, but Kallen's importance was minimal during the first season. Sadly, she just sort of faded into the background after episode 8 or was that 9? I believe they're just saving her character development for season 2. And evidently, she's been getting quite some attention since episode 1 and will be getting a LOT more this coming episode 7. I'm really looking forward to it, since she's my favorite female character.
Just wondering. Who do you think called the shots on which characters to include for the ending art? Judging from the CLAMP's comments, were they given free reign on who to draw?

Yea, about Kallen I completely agree with you. She's my fav female character as well & I like to see her together with Lelouch (Well, C.C. not a human).

Kallen, on the other, is like C.C. mortal counterpart. She is the type of person who won't leave Lelouch, despite knowing his flaws and hating his attitude. I'm just waiting for the moment that she will be able to knock some sense into Lelouch's thick skull that life is not just about "Nunnally". She'll be one to talk him down if he is acting like a douchebag.
I do like the relationship between Kallen and C.C. right now. She seems to be treating Kallen in the same way she does Lelouch , teasing and irking her just like she does Lelouch but you can tell that the two ( Kallen and C.C.) have done some bonding within the one-year gap.
Gah. I seemed to have lost track of what I really wanted to say...

So, here's the message from CLAMP bit instead:
Message(s) from CLAMP
1. Tried out a slight rearrangement of the Zero outfit. Those who support Zero’s cause are identifiable by the common motif of bat wings and chains.
2. Nunnally’s ribbon symbolizes the bonds that denote her capture. Rolo’s wings are drawn to illustrate his uncertainties.
3。 The picture is drawn in light brown penciling to add a divine quality to the image. Cornelia is drawn in a dress. Quite a departure from her true image.
4. Drawn with her clothes and wings all torn up to highlight her mysterious air.
5. Not a main character but we couldn’t resist giving Kallen her own individual shot. Drawn to resemble an Amazoness.
6. The Knights are illustrated with white wings and chains. Gave Suzaku a pose that clearly opposes Lelouch.
7. Gave Anya a bold outfit. Also wanted to draw her in the image of a small bird in its birdcage perching on its swing.
8. Thought of a bunch of ideas to draw V.V. in but nothing seemed to fit. In the end, we just gave up and took our chances in drawing him in the nude.

I'm surprised someone remembers Pessy but not Yuber. D: It's always the other way around and that makes me sad. I mean, Pesmerga exists too! DX

It all hints back to X, I think--for the angel/demon wing it was the ones who wanted 'change' had angel wings and the ones who wanted to 'preseve' had the demon wings--thus the Dragons of Earth were the "seven angels" and the Dragons of Heaven were the seven seals.
But as for the 'flipping' of the wings since Lelouch is part of the 'black rebellion'--I think they just did it that way so those who aren't familiar with X would get it; after all, Lelouch himself refers to himself as someone who "sold his soul to the devil" and the angel wings are just for a contrast, I think.

I wish I could have found a cleaner scan of this...but that's angel wings alright.
