Does anyone have any ideas about who killed Marianne? And why? I think it might have been V.V., but what would be his motive for killing her? What would be anyone's motive for killing her? Why not kill one of the other wives? Why was she the one that was murdered? No one would gain anything. I mean, even if it was a mistake that she was killed and the true objective was to kill Lelouch and Nunally. Lelouch and Nunally had absolutely no shot at the throne, so there would be no point in taking them out. The only was she was important (as far as I know) was that Cornelia looked up to her and she was Lelouch's and Nunally's mother. But then again, she must have been important enough for Jeremiah to be assigned to protect her.
Any ideas?

I have this pet theory that C.C and Marianne were like, BFFs, and C.C. got all angsty later on because she 'failed to protect' or Hell, may have accidentally caused it, and that is why she's so set on protecting Lelouch, to 'keep Marianne's dream alive?'
...Well, this was all inspired by a great C.C.xMarianne fic I read a while back, but I still think Marianne and C.C. had a bigger relationship besides post-death chats and perhaps Geass giver to Geass user type thing.
Hell, with the direction this show is taking, they could have been fraternal twin sisters...
