Does anyone have any ideas about who killed Marianne? And why? I think it might have been V.V., but what would be his motive for killing her? What would be anyone's motive for killing her? Why not kill one of the other wives? Why was she the one that was murdered? No one would gain anything. I mean, even if it was a mistake that she was killed and the true objective was to kill Lelouch and Nunally. Lelouch and Nunally had absolutely no shot at the throne, so there would be no point in taking them out. The only was she was important (as far as I know) was that Cornelia looked up to her and she was Lelouch's and Nunally's mother. But then again, she must have been important enough for Jeremiah to be assigned to protect her.

Any ideas?

Jeremiah's turn to Lelouch seemed waaaay too easy. So either there's something else going on with him or the just took some liberties. Even if it's true that he wants to avenge Marianne, I doubt he'd be completely loyal to the guy that ruined his life, in turn leaving the cult and Britannia. But, to be honest, I think whatever his final decision will be, Viletta will have something to do with it. Or maybe I'm just hopeless.

As for Marianne, I don't think her death was strictly politics. Wasn't she an honorary knight working with Charles or something? I don't really remember the exacts, but she could have posed a threat to Britannia, so they had her killed? Just, whatever Sunrise throws at us it better not be lame D:

I believe she was, if not a Knight of Rounds, then at least a Knight of Britannia. She and R1!Suzaku have similar Knight outfits.

Yup. I always wondered what Lelouch would do if he found out about her stunt with Ganymede.

There's definitely something wrong with Jeremiah's loyalty to Lelouch. I remember in ep 14 summary, it says as Lelouch was about to destroy the cult in China, Jeremiah appeared and hindered him.
