Product Placement

Hey guys,

I was just wondering how everyone feels about the product placement in Code Geass.

Does it bother you that they have made advertising Pizza Hut part of the anime?

Or do you not really notice or care about it?

I would love to hear you opinions~

I personally just find it extremely amusing. It's part of the the series "charm" so to speak XD

I think that's maybe because it's so blatantly obvious~ If it was sneaky or subtle would you not approve of it?

actually, it's not just about it being obvious rather than subtle/sneaky. for me, i think it's the medium. pizza hut is funny because it's in an anime, but if i saw the same amount of product placement in a drama series (even a comedic one), i wouldn't accept it. maybe because anime, an illustrated medium, is like a step away from reality so i don't really feel the marketing push.

even if pizza hut were subtle in code geass i think i'd find it hilarious. (or i could just be weird like that lol) :)
