Hey guys,

I was just wondering how everyone feels about the product placement in Code Geass.

Does it bother you that they have made advertising Pizza Hut part of the anime?

Or do you not really notice or care about it?

I would love to hear you opinions~

I think it's actually funny, but I usually don't notice/care about it.
Like with the whole C.C. Pizza Hut thing, I just thought the logo was familiar but I didn't make any connections.
Someone had to flip the picture upside down for me to be all like "OH LOL HAY DELICIOUS DEEP DISH PIZZA"

Series need to be sponsered. It's more fun and interesting than a "This anime is sponsered by he following series:" at the start of every episode.

I agree with the above comments. Code Geass has the allure of a serious show that doesn't take itself seriously, and it wouldn't be the same without Pizza Hut.

I think it's charming and quite frankly, it's done well enough that it feels natural. And I appreciate the fact that because of the advertising, Geass has maintained a fairly consistent quality throughout the series.

Although I doubt it's something that would work for every series, I wouldn't be opposed to other series adopting similar arrangements.

I'll admit, it was the factor that got me to start watching the show at all. It sort of went: "Oh bleh, another mecha show. Wait, product placement? Okay, yeah, I have to see that. (ALSO, CLAMP DESIGNS, SO EVERYONE IS DEAD SEXY.)"

Little did I know I'd be hooked in the first 5 minutes XD But a Pizza Hut add still makes me smile to this day.

I don't mind it. As others have said, it's part of the charm/craziness/cheesiness of the show. Maybe if it had been thrown in part way through it would bug me, but since it's been there from the start, it's just sort of funny -- as spleener said, a running gag.

Nope. It's amusing. Same thing as to how I saw Pizza Hutt's ads in Darker than Black. And it was just there. so yeah.

As many said, am rather amused by it (and how thoroughly woven into the show it is). I think I prefer this form of blatant product placement (OH LOOK AT ME I AM PIZZA HUT!) over the sneakier ones (Look, I'm writing a song about Candies shoes. Because I love their shoes! and because they're paying me twenty bajillion dollars to).
