I don't think that's Lelouch, guys. After all, I don't think he has the genes to grow a mustache.
It's pretty hard to tell, but I was watching it again and noticed that it looks like the driver's got a white one, even though it's pretty faint. This is the .mkv version of gg's subs, so it might just look that way, but until someone can see on a blu-ray or DVD, chances look pretty slim that's Lulu.
Shame, I was doodling him in what I can remember of the cart outfit today...

It's not a baseless theory. There's the whole "it is said that the power of kings brings one to solidtude, not very accurite, is it?" thing CC says, she could either be speaking of herself or of Lelouch. And yeah, you could say that she was just speaking nostalgically to herself, but that wouldn't make sense since she's talking about not being in solitude(which can arguably be interpreted in different ways). Then there's also the quote a few episodes earlier when Lelouch tells CC that he would become a warlock for her.

For the same reason Revolutionary Girl Utena would show the main character in a collapsing castle, then have Anthy tell Akio that Utena just "doesn't exist in your world anymore": for the ambiguity (Taniguchi seems to love it) and to possibly set up for an OVA if they wanted it (more money! Yeah!). A lot of people insist that by saving Anthy and staying at the castle, Utena became the Rose Bride (or something like that). It's the same thing with Lelouch -- he got the code and is now immortal. Replace Anthy searching for Utena with C.C. traveling with Lelouch and imo, it's pretty darn similar. Or maybe I'm pulling that out my ass... Heh.
Another thing worth noting is that C.C. was possibly talking to him through the World of C. He doesn't necessarily need to be right by her for her to talk to him, right? Or maybe I'm missing something.
And I assumed the warlock thing was just because R2 was supposed to be more "romantically inclined". He said the same thing in an episode on season one, did he not? Either way, I'm sure it was for romantic tension or whatever.
Not saying it debunks the theory, I'm just saying either way is very, very possible. After all, it's SUNRISE.

But everyone could go on with something over something to try to push over theories; we do not have enough information from the series to draw to an obvious conclusion. I'm merely going with I thought while watching it ^__^;
