I don't think that's Lelouch, guys. After all, I don't think he has the genes to grow a mustache.
It's pretty hard to tell, but I was watching it again and noticed that it looks like the driver's got a white one, even though it's pretty faint. This is the .mkv version of gg's subs, so it might just look that way, but until someone can see on a blu-ray or DVD, chances look pretty slim that's Lulu.
Shame, I was doodling him in what I can remember of the cart outfit today...

There's really nothing to support it. I believe he's still alive (or at least like to hold onto that ambiguity that he might be) but I think every other theory is more likely. Even if he IS alive, I don't think they necessarily had to show him again, so...
Carriage guy. Why.
It's fun, sure. But why. :|

I didn't believe it was Lulu when I first saw the animation. The little gif that is running around is disproven just by the fact the outfits are not the same if you compare it and the screencap there. And the guy ain't wearing a white mask. The camera never runs past his face, anyway. Etc etc etc.

It's not a baseless theory. There's the whole "it is said that the power of kings brings one to solidtude, not very accurite, is it?" thing CC says, she could either be speaking of herself or of Lelouch. And yeah, you could say that she was just speaking nostalgically to herself, but that wouldn't make sense since she's talking about not being in solitude(which can arguably be interpreted in different ways). Then there's also the quote a few episodes earlier when Lelouch tells CC that he would become a warlock for her.

I'm a fan of the Lelouch is dead plot...thing, but that's not enough to completely debunk the Utena-style twist thing deal.
My wording is horrid, I'm sorry. XD;

Either way I'm still sobbing uncontrollably.
SCREW YOU SUNRISE.

Its just a trick of the pixels.
I haven't watched the episode yet
or for the last 2 weeks for that matter..., so just shoot me for not actually seeing this scene yet >_>;;(no subject)
When you zoomed it too much, pixels will confuse you... So, don't be sad! ^^ That might still be him.

For the same reason Revolutionary Girl Utena would show the main character in a collapsing castle, then have Anthy tell Akio that Utena just "doesn't exist in your world anymore": for the ambiguity (Taniguchi seems to love it) and to possibly set up for an OVA if they wanted it (more money! Yeah!). A lot of people insist that by saving Anthy and staying at the castle, Utena became the Rose Bride (or something like that). It's the same thing with Lelouch -- he got the code and is now immortal. Replace Anthy searching for Utena with C.C. traveling with Lelouch and imo, it's pretty darn similar. Or maybe I'm pulling that out my ass... Heh.
Another thing worth noting is that C.C. was possibly talking to him through the World of C. He doesn't necessarily need to be right by her for her to talk to him, right? Or maybe I'm missing something.
And I assumed the warlock thing was just because R2 was supposed to be more "romantically inclined". He said the same thing in an episode on season one, did he not? Either way, I'm sure it was for romantic tension or whatever.
Not saying it debunks the theory, I'm just saying either way is very, very possible. After all, it's SUNRISE.

I still can't really think up dead/alive plots right now...because the story is still too fresh in my mind.
(no subject)
I really don't want him to be alive. I love him and all, but it would make it all seem so cheap.
(no subject)
Still, I dunno...I kinda work both sides of this debate, since I want him to be alive...but I don't want his death scene cheapened, either. OH GOD I DON'T KNOW! ;_;

But everyone could go on with something over something to try to push over theories; we do not have enough information from the series to draw to an obvious conclusion. I'm merely going with I thought while watching it ^__^;

O BBY, NOW CAN PEOPLE STOP SAYING LULU'S THE DRIVER?
C.C.'s been able to talk to the dead since S1, gaiz. Maybe she meant like, "Oh, you're dead so you're with your dead friends and family now."
Always telepathic telephoning Jupiter. Can she pay the long-distance fees?

I counter you with
and its black portion above the skin to indicate black hair at top left. The screencap that surfaced first shows 1-2 frames after, where we can't see the skin, so it looks more like a shadow, but this one with the skin can more plausibly be hair.
Sure cartman might or might not be Lulu since we only get nanocrumbs for information, but the ones who believe cartman=Lulu has that and C.C.'s gesture towards to front of the carriage. Doesn't matter anyway since the ending is obviously made so that fans can choose to believe what they want. (Unless they make it clear in DVD/Bluray.)

For me, I like to believe Lelouch is the cartman because of that little gesture in the end. C.C. is already looking up to the sky, so if she's talking to herself she can just maintain her posture, like Ougi when addressing Naoto, or Kallen who speaks to Lelouch in her mind while doing other things.

is nanally made it for her?
i'm pretty sure that lelouch is alive!
on the video i don't see any mustache!
plus the link you gave faye_naruse convince me more !

oh the origami. i think cc learnt to make it when she met nunnally in the 1st season.
