So instead of getting my work done like a good student, I'm derping around the net trying to update my CG scans/image collection again. Since no one seems to have posted this yet, here's a new piece of official artwork from... somewhere (someone enlighten me please, and I'll update the info/tags on this post) ETA: there seems to be some confusion over the source magazine - it should be either Newtype or Animedia. I'll update the post again once I can confirm which is the right one.

Picture of new official art

One of this month's anime magazines - I think it's NewType no, it's Animedia - has some new Code Geass official art for us, featuring Lelouch, Suzaku and C.C..

And it is, well, see for yourself...

( Camera photos means that the writing is kinda blurry, but you can see the picture okay. Including Suzaku's muscles. )

So there's that.

From the looks of things, the main reason the picture is there is for some kind of The Best/Most Popular competition, though there is also some actual information down in the corner. I can pull up a higher definition copy of that part if anyone cares the translate, though the impression I am getting from 2ch is that it is mostly just informing us that there will be more information about the Akito Gaiden... later this year.

Sunrise does like drawing this out.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] rkemy has translated some of the text in the comments, confirming we're due to get more information about Akito in the (Northern Hemisphere) Autumn. Plus the Producer's opinion on ~the secret to Lelouch's popularity~.

Scans from Animedia, Animage and (a few) from Newtype July ^^

Recently got a new scanner and bought some magazines so on a scanning binge! XD

In Animedia, these is a feature on the 26 Best Animation.
- Code Geass was voted 2nd best (lost to Gundam Seed....).
- Lelouch was voted 2nd fave male character (lost to Kira in Gundam Seed) with Suzaku in 19th place.
- C.C was voted 4th fave female character [lost to Lacus (Gundam Seed), Rei (Evangelion) and  Haruhi (The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi) respectively]. Kallen got 13th place and Euphemia was in 26th place.

Island. lol

I KNEW the island arc was going to be fun ever since the summary came out three weeks ago. I mean, Zero and Euphemia?(plus Zero is said to offer Euphemia his cloak 'cause Euphemia took off her clothes(yes, fanservice) to dry. I am VERY interested in their interaction. And Lulu's stamina(or lack thereof) will show once again as he tries to....'play cool' in front of Yufie.XDD) Kallen and Suzaku? Ha.

And when a certain scan came out it did nothing but add to the fun.

And it makes you wonder, why does Sunrise HAVE to do another recap when there's so many awesome stuff coming up?(i.e. A certain event inovlving a huge pizza.) It's said that the Chinese Federation will have some impact in episode 20.

since i'm at it... might as well share it here too. pic gotten from internet.

sorry my japanese isnt fluent enough to do a trans ^^; all i can tell is... there are quite a lot of ppl in the recording studio compared to other anime :O and junjun is very serious and takes notes on his script (can someone tell me what she said about him eating/drinking? and why is his face always so... -.-) and then sakurai-san has the habit of playing with his hair when thinking... and suddenly wears a hat during recording? o.o;

the director gives each seiyuu instructions on how to act~ and then there are times when junjun has to repeat a line 6 times? also, the director calls zero "ZERO-SAN" lol... it seems fun~~~~ take a look ne :3

the cause of this was because i saw a chinese animation company's name in the ending sequence of ep17 (it could hv been there before but i hadn't noticed it), it got me interested (since i'm chinese myself) so i looked that company up...

and i found them posting samples of what they've done recently in their gallery, and there were 3 code geass ones, so i snatched them... >.>
