Who's up for a speculation post? This one targets the final chunk of episodes, possibly including the pizza episode. Although I've seen several spoilers floating around, for the sake of semi-valid speculation, I'm only going to be concentrating on the spoilers that come from the Animage/NewType magazines, although I have nothing against the 2chan spoilers. Their contradictions just hurt my brain lately. The points for this entire discussion come from GameFAQs.

Stage 21: The School Festival Announcement!

1. Lelouch enjoys himself in the school festival while making preparations for a battle plan to be attempted by the Black Knights. In the midst of that, Ougi, Villetta, Cecile and Euphie arrive at the school festival as well.At the Haunted House, Ougi and Villetta accidentally bump into Kallen, who has been dressed up as a monster, while Cecile meets Lelouch there. And then, Euphie, in the middle of looking for Suzaku because she has something to tell him, unexpectedly runs into a certain someone. A long-awaited reunion is achieved.

Stage 22: The Bloodstained Euphie

1. Euphemia announces the establishment of a Special Administration / Governing Zone, a place where everyone can live as equals. She rapidly gains support among the Japanese who rejoice over the loss of Britannian rule. Upon seeing this, Lelouch, as Zero, attempts an independent course of action, but...

2. The establishment of the Special Administration / Governing Zone as proposed by Euphemia has been decided. The Elevens are overjoyed. Zero, in Gawain, makes his entrance at the memorial ceremony. Lelouch confronts Euphie as both Zero and her brother. At that moment, something happens! (Literal trans: That happened!)

3. With the preparations for Euphie's proposed "Special Zone" underway, voices among the Elevens and the Black Knight members calling out to join the Special Zone are heard in increasing numbers with each passing day. In the midst of that, the day where the "Special Zone" will finally be made a reality arrives. The memorial ceremony is held in a stadium in a grand fashion, with Euphie and co. in attendance. Euphie had previously invited Lelouch to attend the ceremony as well, but there are no signs of his coming. And then, as the memorial ceremony is about to end...

Stage 23: With Sorrow, At Least

1. The Special Zone is embroiled in chaos after a sudden, shocking event. At that, Zero, attempting to receive further support from the Japanese, moves to gain a hold of the place.

2. The memorial ceremony has turned into a tragedy. Using the chaos to their advantage, the Order of the Black Knights launch an all-out attack against the Tokyo settlement. Upon rushing into the hall from which Euphie is to be saved, Suzaku...

3. With an unexpected occurence, the Special Zone descends into unprecedented chaos. Meanwhile, Lelouch silently gazes upon the Japanese, who are angered at Britannia's actions. In the midst of that, Kaguya appears in front of the Japanese, and, as the new guiding hand of Japan, nominates Zero. Lelouch, appearing in front of the Japanese called upon by Kaguya, announces their independence from Britannia as well as the start of a United States of Japan.

4. "I no longer have a choice but to continue on..." The "I" used here is "Ore", which means the speaker is a guy.

Miscellaneous:

1. Stage 24: The Collapsing Stage / The Stage Collapses

2. Stage 25: Zero

3. Episodes 24 and 25 will be aired sometime in April, but probably not the week after episode 23, since they mention a brief time gap.

4. A LuluNana photo caption reads: "Did Nunnally truly not see who killed her mother? One can't help but wonder..."

5. Lelouch sleeps 3 hours a day, and spends an hour each day playing online chess.

6. Sayoko's VA mentions that Sayoko's background will be revealed soon. Also, it is implied that she has a connection with Diethard.

7. The description for V.V. in Animedia April asks "Has V.V. given someone a Geass as well?!" Note the use of the past tense in "given".

8. Arthur is 3 years old.

And randomly, my favorite lines from the GameFAQs discussion because they so funny.
*I'm whiting this out just so the speculation point of this post remains in the forefront.*

- In reference to the Nunnally thing: "I'd personally start disliking her if this happens, even if it would be an excellent plot twist. I mean, Lulu went through all this for her when he could've JUST ASKED NUNNALLY!!"
- In reference to the preview for ep. 21: "C.C.:.........I need a bigger plate ;_;"
- "What's with all of the Cornelia hate? Sure she's not getting much in the way of screen time. I blame her agent, of course. She seems to be likable enough."
- In reference to Lelouch being in the sequel: "Not even Sunrise & Okouchi are stupid enough to Shinn this series, when it pretty much revolves around Lelouch's dream."
- In response to something comparing FMP's Mao to CG's Mao: "Naked Mao = DO NOT WANT"

And this is just awesome:
- "Stage 25: Zero should be a documentary by Diethard. If it isn't, I demand to see one in the 2nd season. If they ever need to resort to recap eps again (I hope not, considering they have 6 months to prepare for the sequel), they should totally make it in the form of a Diethard Documentary. Except all the facts are distorted and even more highly-dramatized due to his unhealthy love for Zero.

'Here we see Zero letting Suzaku -- who is a traitorous dog of Britannia by the way -- beat up his mech because obviously Zero is above doing petty things like bullying the weak. Such grace! Such magnamity! Zero, I will follow you wherever you gooooooooo!11!!1!!'

Diethard Reid Presents: There's Something About Zero."

Okayyy now that all the "facts" are done with, do I still have any room for a post? The main thing I wanted to take all amongst all this mess is episode 22. What happens with Euphie? What does Zero do? What's Suzaku going to run into?

Instead of jumping into my feeling about the whole thing, I'd rather have some people toss out their own ideas and then give my predictions through responses. Although this spoiler only lists the magazine-provided spoiler, any spoiler is free game to use in the discussion. Just say where you got it for the sake of us all having something to examine ourselves.

And congrats to anyone who can make sense of this thing. Dang LJ for not having more cut options.

Am I the only one who'd love to see them Shinn this series? Lelouch loses everything except [insert girl of choice here] and becomes Euphie and Suzaku's bitch. I wonder if Nunally had a cellphone.

I'm so excited about Euphie taking over. I totally called it. What's not clear to me is when she's going to propose this special zone. In one set of spoilers, you have "Euphie announces," and in another you have that it already "has been decided."

But I still want to know why Suzaku has never once mentioned Euphie to Lelouch. I'm not even sure he realizes they're related, because there's not even, like, "Hey, d00d, I met your sister."

Isn't the paper crane symbolism "make a wish come true"? When she makes a thousand paper cranes, it will happen at the same time as something awesome (Euphie announcing the special zone, Britannia leaving, Lelouch becoming emperor) or something terrible for ironic effect (Lulu dies).

Oh yeah, definitely my favorite female character in the series (with Cornelia and Cecile running around second and third). I have no idea why, but she's just so cute. I don't think Euphie will die, though. I think something awful will happen to her, but I have, uh, hope for her?

Yeah, and it's been nagging me since I did. >D I think Suzaku definitely knows that they're the emperor's children, since I seem to remember (but could be mistaken) that they have a conversation about keeping the prince-thing quiet...? And maybe when Mao kidnaps Nunally, I thought Suzaku had the impression that it was because they were royalty. And I can understand not mentioning Lulu to Euphie, I don't see what the harm would have been flipping the situation around.

well, since you enters this post. You must be well prepared to be spoiled..

-------Regarding the Future (upto 23) Episode-------------
Stage 21: The School Festival Announcement!
A long-awaited reunion most likely refers to Euphie-Nanaly. Currently Nanaly doesn't know that Lulu==Zero. Will Euphie slip?
Also in this episode, some new britania shounen pilots will be appearing according to the spoiler. Hopefully they are not on drug like certain anime.

Stage 22: The Bloodstained Euphie
Upon rushing into the hall from which Euphie is to be saved, Suzaku...
it sounds bad, however let's think of the posibility..

- Susaku is slaughtering tons of ppl (because of Live command Lulu gave earlier)
- Susaku is holding a dead body of Euphie.. aww..she was killed by the mob
- Susaku is fighting... with the man we are all waiting for.. ORANGE!!
- Susaku is badly hurt protecing Euphie.

I personally don't care if Euphie nor Susaku die, just want to see what would happen next.

Stage 23: With Sorrow, At Least
The episode name kinda suggests something sad, so we might be waving bye bye to someone in this episode or the last one. Well, from those episodes spiler CC and Kaguya is obviously not on 'to die' list.
- Danger 'to die' list speculation
- Euphie.. see last episode
- Susaku.. not yet, according to certain spoiler; his super power will be explained. So he aren't suppose to die yet.
- Cornalia.. might die protecting Euphie
- Schnizel.. not yet, its just not yet.
- Kallen.. might die protecting zero... I don't think its her time yet.
- CC.. not yet, not until her secret is revealed. According to some spoiler, it will be in this season. However upto ep23 there is nothing about her yet...
- Shirley... err.. out of place... she might die, but not yet..
- ORANGE!! sorrow at least? yeah, for the audience.

The series S1 regular scaduled time part will end in this episode. So most likely it will end with Zero announcing the independent and some epilogue of what happens after that with some credit rolling..

continued next pose...

Wait, the spoilers say Euphie dies, or that's just your speculation?

I saw the original post where that was made and I'm pretty sure it was just a fan speculating and NOT official spoilers. So no, Euphie doesn't die just yet. Maybe she will later though...who knows...

------------Regarding with Episode 24-25--------------
It will be aired later, time slot is not decided yet.
Given that 'spoiler' guys (2ch spoiler Q&A) spoils before that...

- Nanaly will play a large part in final stage
- Something BIG suppose to Susaku
- Orange will appear this season
- CC's secret will be revealed this season.

All those will have to fit in this little 2 episodes unless something changed.

----------------------------------------------------------

Regarding Geass Power and Ancient Race

According to some spoiler given before (if I remember correctly its by interview in animeg)
- CC is a human before
- During the design, CC was originally think as angel giving power to a boy. However the difference is she was a human before.

A speculation I heard that sounds interesting is that most likely she is one of the ancient race (I will call them "The ancient")who has advanced technology and able to geneticly modify themselves to achieve immortality. There might be a large disaster which wiped most of them out or they just simply escape out of earth, or put themselves in a long sleep (flashes on ep1 on a group of geass children).

What we saw so far
- OP1 shows a flash of a city with super technology. That is most likely the ancient's city
- Gawain was constructed using information extracted from Ancient technology. (see ep 19)
- The pyramid from the Ancient has geass sign in it. Thus Ancient and geass are very much connected.
- CC has geass sign on her head and she is immortal.
- many more....

What about those contract thingy? Those must too be the power from changing by the tech of The Ancient. However there seems to be 2 classes of Geass, the giver and reciever... (I will refers to them as Master and Servent because I like Fate SN :3)

Master:
Has the ability to give geass out. They are the True Ancient and able to communicate through one another using Psychic link. Their objectives might not be the same and we don't really know what they want..
Current known Master:
- CC
- VV (girl appear in ep 17 and also the one talking to CC in ep 19). She was the one teleporting Lulu, susaku, Kallen, Euphie to the island according to the spoiler guys.

Suspected Master
- Emperror

Servant:
one who was given the power of geass (to fight?) by the master. They each have their unique power of geass according to their gene and personality. Not all human can recieve Geass, only one those are special. If normal people try to form a contract, their mind would blast with the shock memory they experienced. (which would explained CC raising Mao because Mao is a rare kind of human, and CC having ability to mind blast susaku).

Current Known Servant:
Luluche - Geass of absolute Command
Mao - Geass of Mind Reading
Girl in ep 11 flash (I exspect her to be Lulu's mom, but we'll see) - Geass of ????

Suspected Servant:
None... well would be cool if Nanaly is one.

I personally don't think we will learn everything about them this season. Those are my speculation I drew according to many spoilers I read.

1. The Special Zone is embroiled in chaos after a sudden, shocking event. At that, Zero, attempting to receive further instructions from the Japanese, moves to gain a hold of the place.

Interesting....I didn't see this spoiler before. This makes me think the "tragedy" that happens might not be against Euphie or a Britannian, but against the Japanese. Not sure who specifically. Otherwise, why would they be pissed off for? I originally thought that maybe Lulu bungles something and perhaps gets Euphie or someone else (Cornelia?) hurt or killed, but that would discredit the Black Knights and make Euphie look more sympathetic even to the Japense. I suppose the "tragedy" could have happened and Britannia could respond with violence against the Japanese, but I would still think the Japanese would be pissed at BOTH Zero and Britannia if that was the case. So I'm thinking it really is something Britannia does. But what? Perhaps someone uses this ceremony to set up a trap to try to kill the Black Knights and Zero behind Euphie's back? That would certainly make her and Britannia look bad. Not cool to kill your guests. Question is who is going to die? Hmmmm....

Something interesting...it says "Lelouch appears in front of the Japanese", not Zero appears. Does that mean he will reveal himself?
Date/Time: 2007-03-10 17:46 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] tatooine.livejournal.com
Well, GameFAQs is now saying that "futher instructions" should be "Zero, attempting to receive further support from the Japanese, moves to gain a hold of the place." Someone on 2chan typo'd the kanji involved.
Date/Time: 2007-03-10 17:54 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] zalem.livejournal.com
Hmmm...but that still doesn't change much. Do you know if point 3 is still correct? That is what really makes me believe that it's Britannia that causes the tragedy.

Lulu bungling something that sets off the whole tragedy. Yup, that would be so like him.

I don't really have any speculations at this point. O_O *shrug* Except that I still think the rebellion plot might be moving into the background as the season draws to a close and the plot surrounding the origin of Geass and it's givers (and their targets) might be moving forward for the second.

Aw, it's a cute site! I like Cornelia Santa and her excellent reindeer too. >:) Schneizel seems to be a very indulgent niisama generally so far.

VV is maybe being set up as an antagonist for CC. After all, CC's done many things for Lelouch's part of the bargain so far, but the time to pay up will come.

LOL at those quotes from fans. The one about the Diethard documentary is hilarious.

In reference to Lelouch being in the sequel: "Not even Sunrise & Okouchi are stupid enough to Shinn this series, when it pretty much revolves around Lelouch's dream."

Shinn the series in what way though? As in Lulu loses everything, but one thing in the end or in that he is basically demoted from being the main character of the series to an "important" secondary character. I don't really want to see either. Damnit, I want Lulu to win in the end! And I want him to be the main character, otherwise it won't be nearly as interesting. One of the great things about CG is that it's told from Lulu's point of view. I find it hard to believe that they would kill him off or "demote" him in some way, especially considering his wild popularity among the fans. However, sometimes people do stupid things....

Yeah, that issue is what has me the most worried. I want my second TV season. Give us an OAV and movie if you want, but not as a replacement for a TV season. I just don't think an OAV or movie could do this series justice. Too much to wrap up and not enough time to do it, unless you have a proper full TV series.

I'd really like to see more of how Geass is affecting Lulu--I mean, he's been using it a while now, and seeing what happened to Mao ...

Also, definitely hoping for more C.C. action and background, as she's my favorite character ^_^ I want to know what she wants from Lulu, too.

For a different spin on ep. 22, the Bloodstained Euphie ... doesn't the title sort of sound like Euphie's the one shedding the blood? I mean, if you're bloodstained, it may be because you're injured, but it also may be because you just did some damage yourself. Perhaps Euphie's responsible (accidentally or intentionally) for the tragedy? I'm reaching here, but I like Euphie and she's already proven herself to be a lot different than her appearance would suggest.

1, 3 and 3 below each section are from Animedia, I think. But the 2chan guy just came out a few days ago and apologized, saying that they were fake.

Well...since it's mentioned that she has a connection with Diethard, I'm pretty sure I know why she is in the Black Knights picture in the OPs now. I just hope Diethard doesn't have any sneaky plans......well, I don't even know WHY he would want Sayoko to be what she'll be. aka

I totally agree with the Diethard Documentary idea. Sunrise has the brilliance to give us a drama CD where Shirley's imagination goes off and thinks that everyone is going to propose to Lulu(I'm still hoping that they're kidding, actually), why not a crazy documentary featuring Zero love?
