Do you think that Lelouch loved someone romantically in the end?There have been hints with C.C., Shirley and Kallen.Personally i think that the staff was going with C.C. and Lelouch in the first season and in the second they took the route for Lelouch and Kallen.Shirley was in school and it was hard in the first place.
What is your opinion?

I ship Lulu/everybody because life's more fun that way. I love that they left it vague and open-ended on his side of things and didn't confirm anything one way or the other except Lulu/Nunna, because who says "aishiteru" to their siblings? oh Britanniacest.

Although I must confess to enjoying him in particular with (in order of preference) Suzaku, Euphie, Kallen, Milly, Shirley, Nunnally, and Schneizel. Also I do love me some Cornelia/Luluko.

(I see C.C. as (for a long time) a little too detached/jaded to really be interested in a relationship, but I think if they'd had a little more time things could have easily gone in that direction.)

As far as canon goes, though, I gotta stick with the "he had no time to worry about that" side.

I saw this mentioned on TV tropes too, and I've been wondering (but was unable to ask the editor there) what is the proper way to say "I love you" to siblings in Japan? (I have only learned Japanese in classrooms, and they've been very unhelpful about subtleties of vocabulary.)

My study of Japanese doesn't extend too far beyond the classroom either, but from what I've heard from native speakers "aishiteiru" is rarely used because it has such powerful meaning. "(Dai)suki" is way more common, but unlike English it's really not as common for Japanese to verbally express the sentiment.

Ah, that's exactly what I had heard as well. But I'm pretty sure suki/daisuki is inappropriate to say to siblings too.
What I've actually been wondering is whether siblings in Japan tell each other that they love them in words like we often do in the West; thus, my understanding of Lelouch and Nunnally saying "aishiteru" to each other was that it was Japanese writers writing Western siblings expressing love verbally in a Western style. It sounds weird in Japanese but not weird in English.
But I could be totally wrong. I've tried looking it up but haven't been very successful.

I've considered that interpretation myself (dammit why couldn't they have made Code Geass a dual-language series, it would've made things so interesting). And even if that isn't the case, the gravity of the situations in which they tell each other (Lelouch during those precious few seconds Rolo gives him when Suzaku's attempting to trap him in Turn 5, Nunnally when Lelouch is dying) certainly supports powerful statements like that.

The other interpretation is more fun, though.

Oh, I don't mind siscon jokes at all, I just don't think he was actually a siscon for serious in canon (and I find dead-serious Lelouch/Nunnally to be a tad disturbing). That's why I mentioned it. But I wasn't trying to ruin the joke or anything. :D
Ohhhh yeah dual-language Code Geass...I have driven myself crazy trying to figure out who is speaking what and when. Of course the creators - through one of the chibi Lelouch and Suzaku dialogues - have basically just said "don't worry about it" but it's still interesting. I mean, do the Japanese rebels actually speak English amongst themselves? Why not Japanese? But if so, do Diethard and Rakshata know Japanese? Viletta? Does Lelouch? I'd assume he and Nunnally learned it when they were living in Japan...except that Suzaku is teaching Nunnally Japanese in one of the episodes, and she seems rather unfamiliar with it. The language barrier was just completely discarded and it's a tad frustrating.

Yeah, late late but when have I ever arrived to parties on time?

My Japanese teacher (who is a native speaker and lived there since she was fifteen) says that it's normal to say family members "aishiteru." I mean, for our Mother's Day cards she told us to write "aishiteru" rather than "daisuki" (not that you can't, it's just more of 'like' than 'love' I guess, depends on context).
