Just randomly thinking...  Shirley accuses Milly of being a perv, but most of her on panel scenes of yuri-ness seem focused on Shirley. Milly is also oblivious to Rivalz interest, nor does she take seriously her engagement to Lloyd.

YES, she tries very hard to set up Shirley and Lulu, but that could be a case of ;I want my beloved to be happy.' She may realize she can't get Shirley, so she decides to do what she can to make Shirley happy.

Thoughts?

According to official material, Milly too likes Lelouch so... And I'd say she would have felt much more broken after Shirley's death had she been in love with her, as strong as Milly might be.

I always thought she had a little crush on her, at the very least. But not as much as her crush on Lelouch, and not enough that she would get between them.

Possibly. I was under the impression that Milly might be bisexual but she seems to be more having fun than be actually pursuing a love interest.

I say not. Milly was in love with Lelouch and the "yuriness" was for fanservice anyway.

Milly was in love with lelouch, it could be seen in an episode when she asked every student to take lelouch's heart hat and give it to her. She chose to act like cupid for shirley, but in the end she still was sad when lelouch and shirley exchanged hats, and said that she was actually being serious to get lelouch's hat. (I forgot what she actually said but it was clearly stated like that).

Seriously in love with her? No.

Would fuck her given the right conditions (ie LOTS OF BOOZE)? Absolutely.

I think Milly had feelings for Shirley, yes, but I think Milly, for much of the series, is afraid to be serious about her non-het feelings. Like she's accepted that she's going to be heterosexually married off to a noble for the benefit of her family, and that that's so much easier than bringing a girl home to meet her parents. (Or, for that matter, simply bringing home a boy she likes who's not an important nobleman.) So by the time that Milly willing to strike out on her own, Shirley's already head-over-heals in love with Lelouch, and Lelouch is thoroughly oblivious to any feelings Milly might have for them. So she decides to set them up so that they'll both be happy.

But my post-series theory is that Milly hooks up with Rivalz & Nina. Don't tell me I'm wrong! ;-P

I think the beauty of Geass is that everything is ambiguous. This allows fans to like almost any pairing in the series. I think this is why the fanbase is so diverse, there's so many different sides of the series that could appeal to certain people.

So certainly, this pairing seems possible. It is really all up to the viewer to decide what they think could happen or not. Then Sunrise will lather it with fanservice and take our cash-moneys while they're at it. ;D

I would say that Milly was very fond of Shirley, not that she was in love with her (what with her loving Lelouch...too.). But I could see something working between those two without the Lelouch factor. :p

Also, seconding the above comment about Code Geass being ambiguous enough that you can more or less ship anything ;)

I agree, Code Geass is awesome like that.

Personally, I always thought much of Milly's "fondness" for Shirley stemmed from the fact that they both like Lelouch. Milly willingly leaves him to her (because of her parents' expectations? Because she wants her friends to be happy so much? Both, maybe?), but she can't help a bit of teasing.
