Turn 14, Lulu, VV and everyone else

I know it's only been an hour after the episode finished, but if I don't write this down now, I'd probably forget later ~_~ So... my thoughts about this turn...

1. I have to give Lulu lots of credits for managing to appear calm after Shirley's death, unlike the mess Suzaku seemed to put himself in after Euphie died.
   
   
2. When did Lulu actually have the set installed in front of the entrance? Even I thought he was still in Ashford O_o
   
   
3. Is Suzaku completely evil, or is he completely desperate to go against Lulu? I love him and all, but for him to persuade Kallen this way... Feeding Kallen the bullshit that Lulu killed Shirley is one thing, but to drug her with refrain is another... WTF Suzaku?!!!
   
   
4. I think we were wrong when we thought VV expected Jeremiah to go against him. Apparently, he was shocked to find Lelouch at the other end of the line when the call connected. And if his "Jeremiah, even you too...!!" means anything, then he really didn't expect this.
   
   
5. Took VV a while to notice the one in Vincent was Rolo :P
   
   
6. Charles' "My son Lelouch! The time has come!' comment now convinced me that the stage for the finale had been planned all along... Ugh.
   
   
7. The little kids with Geass ability that we saw in the scans before :D They called Rolo 'Rolo-oniichan'~ Now I really don't want Rolo to die, though Lulu was ready to detonate Vincent in order to trap/kill VV.
   
   
8. LOL at Toudou and Chiba in the bedroom ~__~
   
   
9. CC's apology to the cult members before destroying them, saying they were all in the mess now because of her 'sin'. Needs Turn 15 now!
   
   
10. VV, with his hair in a mess, looks so much like Clovis :D
    
    
11. EDIT: Bartley x Clovis should be made canon O_o

I have a question...

So, since Lelouch has discarded his Zero mask, is his identity somehow out in the open now? I was sure there were other members present during the attack against the cult. Or was I reading into it too much? Hmm... I'd love for this to happen soon.

And for everything else I forgot to mention, let the discussion rolllll~

Just finished watching the ep and... Rolo did kill Shirley, since he admitted it, "in order to protect nii-san's secret". I'm guessing that the reason Lelouch wants to blow up Vincent was probably for revenge in a way.

I can't really hate Suzaku since he has been through a lot. His reasoning for giving Kallen Refrain is sort of understandable: he's now lost two important people because of Lelouch's direct/indirect involvement and has gone through a lot of grief due to his actions. Kallen's also a terrorist, don't forget. Just because she's hot should not absolve some of her actions. I think the problem lies with the usage of Refrain rather than some other truth serum. Refrain has a large emotional impact on Kallen and I'm not sure Suzaku knows about her mother's current state or how her mother got to be that way, at least. I'm really curious what will happen here, especially with the OoBK members growing suspicions and unease with Zero, Ougi, etc.

Also, C.C.'s relationship with Lelouch looks like it's going to be tested. It seems like she truly cared about the people in the cult and now, as a result of Lelouch's decree, is killing them over their contract. What is this contract exactly? Is it similar to the contract between Charles and V.V. And yay for flashbacks! MARIANNE!!! ANIMATED!!!

I just have to say I am not quite sure why people are impressed with the way Lelouche reacted to Shirley's death... Frankly I think it is sad that his reaction is so dull. Of course I don't mean he should go batshit insane or anything but thinking that being calm after someone close to you died is a good thing, I just don't get it. But then again he always has his harem to comfort him.

As for the whole Suzaku thing, I think it has been obvious that he has been dropping some morals one after another but how about instead of blaming him for that, blame his role model Lelouche? D:< He doesn't even have a harem to comfort him! Just... Gino...

But as a comment has stated before, all these guys are bastards so if anything they all deserve equal hate/love/yaoi. XD

Whenever Lulu does something batshit, he gets cooler. Whenever Suzaku does something batshit, he also gets cooler. I am incredibly impressed with Rollo's character because he keeps showing us that he has absolutely no scruples whatsoever. *___*

Did anyone else find Lelouch's ability to smile at Rollo eerily similar to the smiley-smiley reunion between Suzaku and Lelouch in turn 5? Both scenes gave me the creeps. :D

As for Suzaku believing Lelouch killed Shirley... so not surprised there. Terrorist running around, and the only terrorist that's big news right now is Zero/the Black Knights. Shirley winds up dead, and even Suzaku's not so dense as to miss the implications of the way Shirley was talking about Lelouch. He doesn't know Rollo's boarded the Luluboat, so it's not so out of line for him to believe Lelouch is responsible. People seem to forget that he doesn't know Euphie was an accident. So, in his mind, Lelouch killing off his own sorta-girlfriend is totally possible.

This episode did need more Gino, though. D: Can't wait to get my hands on the sub.

I believe Lelouch acted very calmly because he has no time to mourn the death of Shirley. I'm very sure her death hit him close to his heart because she was very close to him. This is war people, you won't have time to mourn the loss of a close friend while in combat. If you take time to mourn, you might be killed yourself. Lelouch has things to do, but I am pretty sure he has Shirley on his mind as well as all his friends and the people he is trying to protect. Lelouch isn't a total douchebag, but I'm sure he'll mourn her loss when it's all over, or worst case scenario, while he is dying.

The message seems to be that both Lelouch and Suzaku are going to hell in a handbasket. I mean, Suzaku has to do something to maintain his position as rival when Lelouch is off massacring people (again), right? Using drugs to interrogate a terrorist is probably acceptable military procedure. The fact that it is Refrain is meant to push the audience's buttons and elicit a gut response of "zomg evil".

What's more baffling is, how is Shirley's death the fault of the Geass cult? By continuing his war with Britannia and using Rolo despite knowing him to be mentally unstable, Lelouch created the circumstances leading up to her death himself. If he'd gone "grr argh Rolo" even, sure, but Geass is a tool and the bad stuff happens because of the intent of the wielders, not the power itself. The logic progression from Oh Noes Shirley to Geass Is Evil baffles me.

Lelouch making a blood fest for revenge? Nothing surprising here. The lack of a Batshit reaction when Rolo confessed kind of freaked me out first; then when he intended to explote the Vincent with Rolo inside, kind of make me sad.

Drugzaku? It dissapointed me; but you can see how much he has changed but he doesn't what to arknowledge that because it would make see the same as Zero. Thar why I love him so much even if his brain is so fucked up

The whole Charles/V.V. relationship in this episode was a surprise and left me with this; When was the first time V.V. lied to Charles?

I find the lack of Orenji here disappointing. I'm really happy that he didn't lied to Lelouch; I'm I really the only one that's happy about that?

I have mixed feelings for Suzaku. But I am totally infatuated with Lulu. Because of the whole "Yeah Rolo I'm just using you hurhur". Because I was really pissed at Rolo. Liek for serious. So I was cracking up after Lelouch was all "Thanks Rolo for getting rid of Shirley! :D" because it was so obvious he was lying and is an amazing liar.

And Suzaku. Oh, I understand his reasons. But I just think - didn't he see Lelouch jump to save Shirley's LIFE? When he could have easily made it seem like an accident that way, why would he kill her later? And didn't Suzaku hear him desperately telling Shirley he didn't want to lose anyone else?

I think Suzaku is still going crazy dissociative on Lelouch again.

I have this pet theory that Suzaku thinks that giving Lelouch the geass "messed him up" and turned him into Zero, so that, in Suzaku's mind; Lelouch =/= Zero.

Which is why he was all "I VILL KEEL ZERO!" and not after his friend for the first half of this season while still in denial. Heck, for all we know, he might even think that Lelouch and Zero are still slightly seperate entities, meaning while he saw Lelouch jumping to save Shirley, he might think that "Zero" would kill her in cold blood.

After this episode. I think it's clear that we NEVER know what's going through that guy's head. >.>

Lelouch was a mess when Shirley died. He cleaned up to continue deceiving Rolo. Suzaku had no reason to do such a thing. Also, I think this goes to show that Lelouch and Suzaku are two very different characters.

I think it's wrong too, but honestly, using refrain is no different than Lelouch using Geass on someone to get his way. D: And no one gets all up in arms every time he does that. Suzaku is desperate and unlike Lelouch, he doesn't have a Geass. He's doing whatever he can to make a difference. Since Shirley was his friend, he's even more determined to prevent the chance of anyone else getting hurt. Manipulating Kallen probably isn't the best thing to do, but he needs answers. Not to mention the fact that Kallen is being so obstinate, which probably frustrates him even more considering Shirley's death.
